Bibliotheque de Parfum is a Ukrainian niche fragrance brand founded in 2019 [2]. Its name, French for "perfume library", sums up its central idea: a collection in which every scent is treated as a story with its own mood and character, and each new collection as a further chapter. The brand makes perfumes for women, men and unisex wear, and has also added home fragrances to its range.

The company presents itself as a family business run by a married couple, Lora and Viacheslav Nekrasov. Since 2024 it has extended its reach beyond Ukraine through trade fairs, a multilingual online shop and a business-to-business partner programme. It remains active, releasing new collections and publishing on its own blog into 2026.

## Origin & founders

According to the brand's English-language about page, Bibliotheque de Parfum was founded by Lora and Viacheslav Nekrasov "as both a family brand and a union of two different perspectives" [3]. The page divides the work between them. Lora is described as co-founder and as the face and voice of the brand, responsible for the ideas behind each collection, its mood and the stories attached to it. Viacheslav is presented as the strategic side of the business, in charge of growth, structure, sales and partnerships, and of turning a creative idea into what the company calls an international business.

Earlier accounts give a narrower picture. A press release published in August 2024 names Lora Nekrasova alone as the founder [10], and the brand's own blog post on its September 2024 redesign likewise refers to "Laura Nekrasova, the brand's founder" [9]. The two versions do not contradict each other in substance. The current about page simply credits both spouses, while the 2024 material mentions only Lora. The first name also appears in two spellings, Lora on the about page and Laura in the press release and the redesign announcement.

In a quote on the about page, Lora Nekrasova explains the thinking behind the brand. She says fragrance has never been "just a beautiful scent" for her, but a way for a person to understand themselves better. That, she says, is why the company creates "not individual fragrances, but an entire library of stories."

The brand treats its national origin as part of its identity. Its about page describes Ukrainian origin as "more than geography" and links it to courage, attention to detail and an ability to see beauty "even where it must be protected."

## History & milestones

The company has published little about its first years beyond the founding date. Its visible history begins mainly in 2024, the year it started presenting itself to international buyers.

In March 2024 the brand exhibited at Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna, a beauty and wellness industry trade fair in Italy. There it presented a new limited-edition perfume collection called I Am, created by the Italian perfumer Fernanda Russo, together with new home fragrances [10]. The press release about this step says the company had obtained quality certification to European standards and had since launched a multilingual international website, set up logistics and business-to-business sales, and opened a branch in a European country. It adds that British customers had responded well to the products. The release appeared on the Ukrainian news site LIGA.net under a press-release label, which means it reflects the company's own account rather than independent reporting.

In July 2024 the company introduced Aroma Cruise, a summer collection of five fragrances aimed at the travel season [6]. Two months later, in late September 2024, it announced a new logo and updated packaging, which it described as "a new stage in our development" [9].

The brand continued its trade-fair presence the following year. In March 2025 it reported taking part in Beauty Forum Warsaw, and in April 2025 it exhibited at LOOK BeautyVISION, a beauty trade fair in Poznań, Poland [7].

## Philosophy & positioning

The idea of a library runs through almost everything the brand says about itself. According to the company, each scent has "its own story, mood, character, and inner rhythm," and its perfumes are composed in the way one might write a book, paint a picture or write a piece of music. Collections are framed as chapters of that library rather than as stand-alone product lines.

The company says it creates fragrances with respect for the craft, attention to detail and a belief in the power of imagination. On its homepage it speaks of "the magic of niche perfumes" and their ability to stir the imagination and change how people see themselves and the world around them. The tagline on its about page condenses this approach: "Not just a bottle. A story you can wear on your skin."

The storytelling also shapes how the perfumes are made. In the case of the I Am collection, the brand says Lora Nekrasova wrote a story for each perfume and handed these to the perfumer, who then developed the formulas to match.

On ethics, the company states on its partner page that it never tests on animals and never will [7]. This is the brand's own commitment. No third-party cruelty-free certification is documented.

## Products & innovation

The brand's perfumes are sold in several sizes: full bottles of 50 and 100 ml, a 16 ml travel size, and 2 ml samples, which are also bundled into discovery sets of five. Its online shop sorts the perfumes by wearer (women, men, unisex) and by scent family, from floral, fresh and citrus, and sweet and fruity, to oriental and spicy, leather, woody and chypre, and a category it calls atypical.

### Bestsellers

Several perfumes are marked as bestsellers on the brand's homepage, each with a one-line description in place of a list of notes:

- **I Want**, built around cherry, described as the cherry that everyone longs for.
- **Nirvana**, presented as the scent of clean skin that one keeps returning to.
- **Ultimatum**, described as a dark forest and damp resin.
- **Page 69**, pairing caramel with white flowers in warm air.
- **Taste of Illusions**, centred on passion fruit.
- **Sensual Rebellion**, a vanilla scent with sweet wood and coriander.

The men's range includes **Brutal Story**, which the brand associates with cigar smoke.

### Collections

The perfumes are grouped into named collections. The main line, called The Collection, was reorganised in 2024 into five subcollections, each tied to a particular state or emotion: confidence, lightness, nobility, luxury and passion. The men's fragrances received the same new design at that time.

The **I Am** collection is a limited edition of eight perfumes, which the brand presents as "eight facets of a woman." It was composed by Fernanda Russo, a perfumer born in and working in Florence [8]. According to the brand's blog, she holds a doctorate from a faculty of pharmacy and has worked as a perfumer for about 30 years. Before setting up on her own she worked in a perfume production laboratory, refining recipes and formulas. She later opened a workshop in a historic herbalist's shop in Florence, the Antica Erboristeria e Spezieria San Simone, where she runs perfume-making masterclasses and creates fragrances to order for companies. Her own earlier work includes a collection called Antiche Vie di Firenze ("Ancient Streets of Florence"). The blog says Lora Nekrasova met her while on holiday with her family. The blog post's headline spells the perfumer's name "Rousseau", while the text itself consistently uses "Russo".

**Aroma Cruise**, launched in summer 2024, is a five-scent collection designed for travel. The most recent line is **Eclipse**, marked as new on the brand's website in 2026. The company introduces it with the line that not everyone chooses the light, not everyone belongs to the shadow, and that sometimes a person is both.

Alongside its perfumes, the brand makes home fragrances; a new range of them was presented at Cosmoprof Bologna in 2024.

### Design and packaging

The September 2024 redesign gave the brand a new logo with a monogram formed from a mirrored first letter. The company says the shape resembles a butterfly, chosen as a symbol of transformation and inner change. The packaging kept its book-like shape, a nod to the library theme, with deep blue as its main colour. That blue was one of five colours the brand had used before. Bottle labels are made on a metal base, with a white background and gold accents.

## Ownership

Bibliotheque de Parfum describes itself as a family brand, and no outside owner or parent company is documented. Its online shop is operated by LLC Votreparfum, which gives a legal address in Lublin, Poland [4]. The shop's default currency is the Polish złoty.

## Current status

Bibliotheque de Parfum is active. Its website runs in English, Polish and German and takes orders across roughly 30 European countries, priced in euros or złoty. The company says on its about page that it has customers in 21 countries. Besides direct online sales, it works with business partners, and its partner page invites online and physical retailers, beauty salons and corporate clients to stock its products.

The brand's most recent visible activity is a blog post from 7 January 2026 on how to apply perfume, alongside the Eclipse collection being promoted as its newest release [6]. It also maintains an Instagram account. No awards are documented for the brand, and beyond the 2024 press release it has received little coverage from independent media.
