C.d.6+ is a German deodorant-care brand made for people whose skin reacts badly to ordinary deodorants. Its range is small and centred entirely on the underarm: a cream, a roll-on, an aerosol spray and a pump spray. The products are supplied by Cosmo Pro GmbH & Co. KG, a skin-care company in Norderstedt, Germany, while the brand's trademarks are registered in favour of a company in Luxembourg [3].

Little is known about the brand's beginnings, and no founding year or founder has been made public. Outside its own marketing, C.d.6+ is mainly documented through a 2022 test by the German magazine ÖKO-TEST, which rated its deodorant cream "insufficient" on ingredients [9]. The brand is active, and its products remain on sale.

## Origin & founders

According to its own account, C.d.6+ was developed for deodorant users who respond to conventional products with skin irritation, itching and allergies, and it presents its range as a way of solving that problem while caring for the skin [1]. The product overview on its website repeats the idea in stronger terms, describing the line as made specifically for very sensitive skin, where standard deodorants cause irritation, rash or a burning feeling, and as well suited to use after shaving the underarms.

Beyond this statement of purpose, the brand has published almost nothing about its history. No founding year, founder or place of creation is documented anywhere. The earliest date connected with the brand is a 2010 copyright line on its website in the name of Cosmo Pro, and the site's legal notice is dated 1 January 2011 in Hamburg. Both are dates of the website, not of the brand's launch, and neither should be read as a founding year.

## History & milestones

The one well-documented event in the brand's public history is its appearance in ÖKO-TEST's deodorant-cream test, published in June 2022 in ÖKO-TEST Magazin and in the magazine's cosmetics and wellness guide for that year. The testers examined 30 deodorant creams, 14 of them certified natural cosmetics. They noted that the products fell into two broad types: some relied on baking soda to fight odour, others on aluminium salts. Sixteen creams were rated "very good", while seven received the lowest grade, "insufficient". The magazine also observed that only a few makers could support the duration of effect they advertised with convincing studies.

C.d.6+ was represented by "C.d.6+ Das Pflege Deo, Creme", listed with Cosmopro as supplier. Its ingredients result was "insufficient" [9]. The test table named aluminium as the cream's active ingredient and recorded perfume containing the fragrance substances citral, citronellol and geraniol. It also criticised several other ingredients: paraffins, MOAH (aromatic hydrocarbons from mineral oil), and the synthetic antioxidants BHA and BHT. The cream made no claim about how long its effect lasts, it was packed in a plastic tube, and it scored "good" in the separate category covering other defects.

In response, the supplier told ÖKO-TEST that a new formula was being developed. As of June 2022, according to the magazine, the plan was to replace the mineral-oil-based raw materials with natural ones and to remove BHA and BHT [9]. The brand's own website does not mention this work, and whether the reformulation has since reached the shelves has not been publicly documented.

## Ownership

The legal notice on the brand's website names Cosmo Pro GmbH & Co. KG, based in Norderstedt, as the site's provider and as the party responsible for it [3]. Cosmo Pro is a limited partnership; its general partner, Verwaltung Cosmo Pro GmbH, is represented by managing director Dirk Jesinghaus. ÖKO-TEST and pharmacy listings likewise name Cosmo Pro, sometimes written "Cosmopro", as the supplier or manufacturer of the products.

The same notice states that, unless indicated otherwise, all trademarks on the site are protected in favour of Interbio Medical Service S.A., of Luxembourg [3]. This leaves two possible answers to the question of where the brand belongs. Its operator, supplier and described distribution are German, while its trademark holder is registered in Luxembourg. This article follows the operating company and treats C.d.6+ as a German brand. The relationship between Cosmo Pro and Interbio Medical Service is not publicly explained.

Cosmo Pro describes its business as skin care, skin protection and physiological skin cleansing, with an emphasis on products for sensitive, stressed or allergy-prone skin. On its corporate website it says it develops, produces and looks after new brands for its trade customers, which it lists as pharmaceutical wholesalers, pharmacies, clinics, drugstores and grocery chains [8]. The company's brand page shows C.d.6+ alongside the logos of Santeril, Heliocare and Gutshof, without further detail on any of them.

## Philosophy & positioning

C.d.6+ calls its products "Deo-Pflege", or deodorant care, rather than simply deodorant. The name signals the brand's central idea: protection against sweat and odour combined with tolerance for delicate skin. The company says its products are recommended by dermatologists, clinically tested and made without alcohol, dyes or preservatives [5]. It further describes them as antibacterial and scent-neutral, suitable for wearing with any perfume, and claims that the range is especially kind to the skin while also working especially well against sweat and body odour. The brand does not cite a study, a testing institute or a date for any of these statements.

Independent testing complicates part of this picture. The brand describes the whole range as "duftneutral", meaning scent-neutral, and says of the aerosol spray in particular that it is completely scent-neutral because it contains no perfume oil [7]. ÖKO-TEST's 2022 analysis of the cream, however, found perfume among its ingredients [9]. Scent-neutral and fragrance-free are therefore not the same thing in this case: only the spray is described by the brand as made without perfume oil, and no fragrance-free claim applies to the line as a whole. The same test also listed the antioxidants BHA and BHT among the cream's ingredients.

## Products & innovation

The range consists of four products, each designed for application to clean, dry underarms. The cream is the one the brand calls its classic. C.d.6+ describes it as extra-gentle protection applied as a thin film, free of alcohol and built on a "skin-regenerating vitamin formula" with re-fatting agents, ingredients meant to restore some of the skin's natural oils. According to the company, this makes the cream especially suitable directly after shaving. The brand does not name the vitamins or other specific ingredients involved.

The roll-on is presented as practical and proven, alcohol-free and quick to apply. Users are told to shake it before use and let it dry completely to avoid marks on clothing. The aerosol spray, which the brand's website introduces as its newest product, is described as a quick-drying, residue-free spray without alcohol or perfume oil. The fourth product, the Zerstäuber or pump atomiser, is promoted as long-lasting, alcohol-free and economical in use. For both sprays, the brand says that correct application leaves no white marks.

The brand publicises no patents, proprietary technologies or research partnerships, and no third-party certifications are documented.

## Current status

C.d.6+ is an active brand, and its deodorants continue to be sold. The brand describes its distribution as running through drugstores, specialist sections of department stores and pharmacies [2]. It does not operate its own online shop; instead, its website invites consumers to ask for the addresses of local stockists. The brand keeps a Facebook page, but no recent product launches or brand news are documented, and its public presence consists mainly of a compact website presenting the four products.
