Neither a founding year nor a founder has been published for the brand itself. ## Ownership Herbamedicus sits in the brand portfolio of Schmees Kosmetik, alongside nineteen other names that range from body care (Dermatopan, Ream Med, Vitawohl) to car care (Klaro Car) and gardening (Floraline) [3]. According to the company, Knut Schmees Sr. laid the foundation of the group in 1954 [2].
