Jungle Fever is an Italian professional haircare brand sold to hairdressers and salons, covering hair colour, bleaching, care treatments and styling products. It is currently part of the PROFESSIONHAIR® Milano portfolio, and its website is operated by ITALIAN GROUP S.R.L., a company registered in Brescia in northern Italy [1]. Earlier sources, however, name a different company behind it: a 2013 trade-press report and a 2011 brand brochure both credit the brand to GM Kosmetik [12].

The brand builds its identity around fashion rather than the clinical look common in salon haircare. It says it was created for women drawn to "sexy, sensual, glamorous and eccentric" trends, and it runs under the tagline "Wild Beauty". Alongside that styling pitch, Jungle Fever presents four named technologies as the scientific basis of its colour and care lines. The brand is active; its website was republished in December 2025 and last updated in February 2026.

## Origin & founders

No source states when Jungle Fever was founded, and no individual founder is named. What the record shows is that the brand existed by the start of the 2010s and was then associated with a company called GM Kosmetik.

An English-language brochure titled "Experience Wild Beauty", produced in November 2011 and hosted by the brand's US distributor, introduces the line as "Jungle Fever, by Gm Kosmetik" and carries the name GM Kosmetik s.r.l. on its back cover [17]. The brochure already described Jungle Fever as a brand that had risen quickly in the Italian and international professional market, created to give hairdressers products that were both technically and commercially new.

Two years later, the US salon trade magazine Modern Salon reported on a new addition to the range and stated plainly that the brand had been "founded by GM Kosmetik" [12]. At the time the brand's web address was junglefeverstyle.com, not the junglefever.it domain it uses today.

## Ownership

Ownership is the one point on which the sources disagree. The 2011 brochure and the 2013 Modern Salon article both attribute Jungle Fever to GM Kosmetik [12]. The brand's current website instead carries the line "Powered by Professionhair" and names ITALIAN GROUP S.R.L. as its operator [1]. No published source explains when or how the brand passed from GM Kosmetik to its current owner, so the date and terms of that transfer are unknown.

PROFESSIONHAIR® Milano describes itself as a company that selects and presents a collection of professional hair brands under one roof, organised around people's lifestyles rather than around a single product line. The same company, ITALIAN GROUP S.R.L., appears with the same VAT number in the footers of both professionhair.com and junglefever.it. Its portfolio lists Jungle Fever alongside 24 Kerats, NVNT, Best and Beautiful, Luxury Hair Pro, Compagnia del Colore, Viba Professional and 21 Perfect, together with two technical brands, Damage Undo and Unimix [10].

PROFESSIONHAIR® Milano itself sits inside a larger structure. The website of Beauticon Valley Holding, a Brescia-based benefit company, calls PROFESSIONHAIR® Milano the main professional division of its group and describes the group as a network of more than 50 companies [14]. Professionhair says it works with hairdressers and distributors to plan sales in international markets, and backs its brands with education and business support for salons.

## Philosophy & positioning

Jungle Fever frames its products as an extension of Italian fashion. On its "About" page, the brand says the line draws on the style of designers such as Versace, Dolce & Gabbana and Cavalli, whose collections bring spectacular elements taken from nature onto the runway. According to the company, its products are meant to be the ideal complement to such clothing, giving hair stylists room to create looks that were previously out of reach.

The brand describes itself as "the trendiest Italian brand in the professional hair sector" and says it holds a prominent position in both the Italian and international markets [2]. It links that standing to research and development, "continuous scientific commitment" and formulas designed for each specific treatment. A recurring claim in its communication is that every product is 100% made in Italy; Professionhair repeats this on its own page for the brand.

The website pairs two slogans, "Nature to Science" and "Science to Beauty", and says the line relies on advanced research in trichology, the study of hair and scalp. A Bulgarian distributor echoes the brand's own framing, describing products that combine tradition and innovation and are selected by an expert team of researchers [16].

Jungle Fever sells through the professional channel. Its products are aimed at salons, and its marketing speaks to hairdressers first and, through them, to their clients.

## Products & innovation

### Colour

Hair colour is the first section of the current range. It includes Hair Color Cream, a faster version called Just Ten (a 10-minute colour cream), bleach powders including Blonde Please, activators and oxidising emulsions, and an anti-yellow shampoo for toning blonde hair. Color Seduction is a direct pigment, meaning a dye that deposits colour without a chemical developer, while Classy Color is a series of colour masks. A product called 3 Action Potions completes the section.

The 2011 brochure shows how long colour has been at the core of the brand. It listed a Hair Coloring Cream in 109 shades made with palm oil, an oxidising emulsion, a compact bleach powder, a Color Fix product built on what it called the Malakite Complex, and Henna Therapy, based on extract of Lawsonia, the henna plant.

### Care

The care side is divided into several lines. The Daily Care Line is described as containing plant-based active complexes, proteins and gentle cleansing agents, with formulas the company says are 100% free of paraffins and mineral oils. The Keep Phyto Reconstruction Line is a three-step system of shampoo, mask and reconstruction fluid built around keratin, amino acids and proteins, intended for hair weakened by sun, heat or chemical treatments.

The Scalp Line, which the brand says follows the principles of modern trichology, is formulated without parabens or the foaming agents SLES and SLS, and is based on essential oils and organic natural extracts. Puridetox is a trio of shampoo, mask and spray built on activated charcoal. Gloss Intense is a salon laminating service in three steps: a preparatory shampoo, a laminating treatment and a post-treatment co-wash, which the brand promotes as giving "mirror-like hair in just 10 minutes". A styling and finishing range rounds out the catalogue.

Earlier care products show a similar structure. The 2013 Modern Salon report described the brand's professional line as eight hair care systems, and covered the launch of a four-part Hair Care collection: Nutri-Color for colour-treated hair, with silk proteins and olive oil; Curly, with fruit extracts; Volume for fine hair, with cotton oil and keratin; and Lix for dry hair, with shea butter, aloe vera and argan oil [12]. The 2011 brochure also named an Argan Oasis line and a Triple Action Shampoo.

### Named technologies

Jungle Fever presents four proprietary technologies as the foundation of its range, and gives each its own page on its website.

- **Chemiluminescence.** The brand defines this as the emission of light that arises from a biochemical interaction.
- **Polyamino Sugar Plex.** According to the company, the sugar component of this complex forms a network that holds water inside the hair to prevent dryness, while the amino acids help limit the loss of elasticity caused by bleaching [5].
- **Multi-Chrome & Micro Pure Pigments Technology.** Used in the brand's haircolour, which it says is free from added parabens, SLS and thio. The company describes a low-alkalinity process with very low ammonia content, and claims it lets pure pigments penetrate "up to 99.98%" into the hair [6]. The figure is the company's own.
- **3D Diamond Technology.** The brand says this technology carries micro colour pigments into the cortex, the inner layer of the hair shaft [7].

No patents, research partnerships or third-party certifications are documented for these technologies or for the brand as a whole.

## Current status

Jungle Fever is active. Its website was republished in December 2025 and updated in February 2026, and it presents the full colour, care and styling range under the PROFESSIONHAIR® Milano umbrella. The brand also appears on Professionhair's own website, where it is listed among the group's professional brands. No dated product launch from the past year has been identified, and the brand's website links to no social media accounts.
