Nacific is a South Korean skincare brand based in Seoul, built around herb-forward, nature-derived formulas. It sits within the K-beauty movement and presents itself under the tagline "The Birth of Natural Beauty," describing its approach as naturalistic skincare meant to give the skin comfort and rest. Its formulas lean on botanical ingredients such as calendula and centella — often called cica — and several products are noted as vegan and free of alcohol and parabens.

The brand is no longer an independent company. In January 2023 its owner, the Seoul firm Abill Korea, was acquired by The Skin Factory, the company behind the personal-care brand KUNDAL [4]. Nacific has continued since then as the group's skincare line.

## Origin and naming

Nacific began under a different name. According to the brand-review site DermApproved, it launched in 2015 as "Natural Pacific" and was renamed Nacific in 2016 [7]. The earlier name still surfaces in retail listings — one K-beauty retailer's mission statement continues to describe "Natural Pacific" as aiming to "produce naturalistic goods for healthy skin using valuable ingredients from pure nature on the basis of scientific proof" [6]. The founding date is not entirely settled: the 2023 acquisition announcement describes the brand as established in 2014 [4], a year earlier than the 2015 launch recorded by editorial sources. The discrepancy most likely reflects the incorporation date of the parent company rather than the brand's own debut.

## Ownership

For most of its history Nacific sat under Abill Korea, a Seoul-based parent. That changed in January 2023, when The Skin Factory — known for the personal-care brand KUNDAL — acquired Abill Korea [4]. In the announcement, chief executive Roh Hyun-Jun said the purchase expanded the company to "the two major categories ranges — the personal care brand 'KUNDAL' and the skincare brand 'Nacific.'" The release put Nacific's 2022 revenue at roughly 17 billion won and cited a presence in overseas markets including Indonesia, Myanmar and Japan [4].

## Products and positioning

Nacific's catalogue is centred on skincare, organised by product type, skin concern and product line. Its stated mission is to make naturalistic products for healthy skin using natural ingredients backed by scientific proof [6]. Product lines include the Fresh Herb Origin range, Cica PDRN, Uyu Cream, Rice Pepta Collagen Glow and Pink AHABHA.

The best known of these is the Fresh Herb Origin Serum, marketed in Korea as the "Yok Serum" and widely nicknamed the "Damn Serum." The name refers to a tingling sensation the serum can produce; in editorial coverage, the strength of the tingle is presented as correlating with how damaged the skin barrier is [5]. The company says it has run stability and irritation testing on the formula and describes it as suitable for all skin types [5].

## Recognition

The Fresh Herb Origin Serum is the brand's commercial anchor, reported to have sold more than one million bottles [4]. Its visibility grew after the Korean actress Jun Ji-hyun named it one of her holy-grail products [5]. In 2021 Nacific signed the K-pop group Stray Kids as its brand model, a partnership the company credited with driving 90 percent of its overseas sales growth [4].

## Current status

Nacific remains commercially active, but structurally it is an acquired brand rather than an independent one. Since the January 2023 purchase of Abill Korea by The Skin Factory, it has operated as the group's skincare line [4], and its storefront and corporate details are now listed under The Skin Factory Co., Ltd. of Gangnam-gu, Seoul.
