Regena Ney is a German skincare and haircare brand, and the cosmetics and nutritional-supplement arm of the vitOrgan pharmaceutical group, a family-owned company based near Stuttgart. It was set up as a vitOrgan subsidiary in 1972 [5], and its products draw on the same idea as the parent company's medical work: that specially prepared extracts from animal organs and cells can support the body's own repair processes.

The range is small and pharmacy-oriented. It includes the NeySkin face creams, the NeyDin skin ointments and, since 2018, the NeyHair Vital-Haarwasser hair tonic. Regena Ney is one of three businesses through which vitOrgan offers its "biomolecular" approach, and the brand is presented on the parent group's website alongside its medicines.

## Origin & founders

Regena Ney's story begins with its parent. vitOrgan was founded in 1954 by the physician and scientist Prof. Dr. med. Karl Eugen Theurer, and the company describes itself as a mid-sized pharmaceutical family business near Stuttgart [2]. Theurer developed what the company calls Biomolecular vitOrgan Therapy (Biomolekulare vitOrgan-Therapie, or BvT). According to vitOrgan, the method does not use fresh cells or whole cell contents, as earlier generations of organ preparations did, but only specific components of the cell plasma that it considers responsible for healthy organ function and regeneration [2].

Eighteen years after vitOrgan's founding, the group created Regena Ney as a subsidiary for cosmetic products and nutritional supplements [5]. The people who led the new company in its early years are not named publicly. The Theurer name nonetheless runs through the business: a German online pharmacy lists the manufacturer of the NeySkin creams as "Regena Ney Cosmetic Dr. Theurer GmbH & Co. KG" [10], a company name that ties the brand to the founding family. The parent's own timeline spells the subsidiary both as "Regena Ney" and, in a later entry, as "RegenaNey".

## History & milestones

For most of its history Regena Ney has developed quietly inside the larger group. vitOrgan's company timeline records only a few milestones for the subsidiary itself. After the 1972 founding, the next is the launch of NeyHair Vital-Haarwasser in 2018, which the company describes as an expansion of Regena Ney's cosmetic range into haircare [5].

The surrounding group grew in parallel. In 1988 vitOrgan set up a second subsidiary, Innovapharm, built around a Bach flower series that also contains organ extracts. In 2021 Dominic Theurer, grandson of the founder, took over management of all the group's companies [5]. In 2024 vitOrgan marked its 70th anniversary. Regena Ney reached 50 years in 2022, though no separate celebration for the brand has been publicised.

## Ownership

Regena Ney has belonged to the vitOrgan group since it was created; it was formed as a subsidiary rather than acquired. vitOrgan's brand page calls it "our subsidiary Regena Ney" and says its care products and supplements are based on the same active principle as Biomolecular vitOrgan Therapy [3].

According to vitOrgan, the expertise behind the therapy is concentrated in three companies: vitOrgan Arzneimittel, which makes the injectable organ preparations and other medicines; Regena Ney, for skincare and supplements; and Innovapharm, for the Bach flower products. The group's legal entity, vitOrgan Arzneimittel GmbH, is registered in Ostfildern, just outside Stuttgart, and is managed by Dominic Theurer and Jürgen Leist [7]. The company describes itself as an independent family business now in its third generation.

## Philosophy & positioning

Regena Ney's tagline is "Wirkung, die man sieht und spürt!", roughly "results you can see and feel". Its cosmetics are framed around the idea that skin ageing starts with the skin losing moisture, followed by wrinkles and a loss of elasticity. The brand's answer, as vitOrgan presents it, is to combine familiar skincare ingredients such as coenzyme Q10, argan oil and shea butter with cell extracts prepared along the lines of the parent's therapy.

That positioning sits between cosmetics and medicine. vitOrgan's homepage calls its overall approach a bridge between conventional medicine and naturopathy, and Regena Ney's products are sold without prescription through pharmacies and the group's own online shop. Some of the product descriptions go further than typical cosmetic language. The company says, for example, that the extracts in NeyDin M ease eczema and that those in NeyDin F improve local blood circulation [4]. These are the company's own efficacy statements; none is presented as the result of a clinical trial.

## Products & innovation

The skincare line is built around five products. The NeySkin series covers daily facial care. NeySkin DAY is a day cream that the company describes as an "energy complex" of coenzyme Q10, argan oil and shea butter. NeySkin NIGHT is a night cream for all skin types scented with lavender essential oil. NeySkin CUTANA is a lighter anti-ageing moisturiser, again with coenzyme Q10, which vitOrgan says activates energy production in skin cells.

The two NeyDin ointments are more targeted. NeyDin M is marketed as intensive care for cracked skin and contains extracts from maternal placenta and testes. NeyDin F, aimed at problem skin, pairs placenta extract with ovary extract.

The animal-derived ingredients are central to the brand and are listed openly. The published ingredient list for NeySkin DAY, for instance, includes amniotic fluid together with aorta, liver, muscle, ovarian and placental extracts, alongside plant oils such as calendula [8]. The same product page describes the cream as free from silicones, microplastics, mineral oil and synthetic dyes, and made without genetic engineering. vitOrgan's quality page states that the group uses only certified and inspected organs of animal origin and is a GMP-certified manufacturer producing in Germany, though these statements are made for its pharmaceutical production rather than specifically for the cosmetics [9].

Haircare arrived in 2018 with NeyHair Vital-Haarwasser, a hair and scalp tonic. Its formula combines extracts of birch, yarrow, burdock, arnica, boxwood, lavender, mulberry, rosemary, thyme and nettle with panthenol and niacin. It also contains what the company calls the biomolecular vitOrgan Complex H, made from cell extracts of skin, placenta and aorta. vitOrgan says the tonic works directly at the hair root and can strengthen hair growth [6].

Beyond cosmetics, Regena Ney also sells nutritional supplements under the same principle. No third-party cosmetic certifications, awards or independent press coverage of the brand are documented.

## Current status

Regena Ney is active. As of October 2026, its creams were listed in vitOrgan's online shop, and NeySkin NIGHT was shown as available for immediate delivery at a German online pharmacy [10]. The brand is sold mainly through pharmacies and the parent group's own shop, and its full product line is presented on vitOrgan's cosmetics page. Its social media presence runs through vitOrgan's group accounts.
