URIEL is an Israeli brand of orthopedic support and foot-care products, based in the town of Nesher in the country's North District. Its range runs from neck collars, back belts and knee braces to insoles, compression hosiery, silicone toe separators and a small group of foot and shoe deodorants that the company files under "therapeutic cosmetics". URIEL says it has been making support products for more than 50 years and that its goods are sold and marketed in Europe and the United States as well as at home [2].

The business behind the brand appears under two legal names: the brand's website gives Meditex Group Ltd. [6], while an Israeli company directory lists Meditex Ltd. [12]. Most of what URIEL makes is medical and orthopedic rather than cosmetic; its overlap with personal care lies mainly in foot care, from toe and heel cushions to gel socks and deodorant sprays.

## Origin & market

URIEL presents itself as a company that was founded in Israel and grew there before extending its operations abroad. Its own account names no founding date and no founders. Instead it leans on longevity, saying it has spent "over 50 years" creating support and orthopedic products. An undated supplier profile on HealthManagement.org uses a different figure, stating that the URIEL name has built an international reputation over "more than 30 years" [10]. Neither text carries a date.

Directory descriptions of the company say it became a leading manufacturer of orthopedic bandages, sports bandages, health supports and foot-care products in Israel and abroad, trading under the URIEL name. The same listings place the company in the medical-devices and therapeutics sector rather than in cosmetics.

## Ownership

The legal entity behind URIEL is not named consistently. The contact page of the brand's own online store gives the company name as Meditex Group Ltd. and an office address at number 23 in Nesher [6]. The StartupIm company database instead records the entity as Meditex Ltd., with Israeli registrar number 510919715, and lists the business under the combined name Uriel-Meditex [12]. Supplier profiles on HealthManagement.org use the form Uriel-Meditex Ltd.

The difference between the two names has not been publicly explained. It may reflect a later reorganisation into a group structure, or simply separate legal entities within the same group; no published account settles the question. No acquisitions or changes of ownership have been documented.

StartupIm lists Rony Rosen as general manager and Shlomo Berger as vice-president of marketing, and gives the company's size as one to ten employees.

## Philosophy & positioning

The brand's homepage carries the line "Trusted Pain Relief & Support". In its own description, URIEL combines design, technology and raw materials "without compromise" to produce what it calls advanced support and orthopedic products. Its stated vision is to inspire and motivate people "at every age and stage of life, to live fuller, more active lives" [2].

The company also says it works with innovative technology and with patents it develops itself, though it names none. StartupIm records one patent held by the company, with two noted at the European Patent Office [12].

Older supplier profiles frame the company in terms of quality and medical oversight. One says its strategy rests on "consistent quality control under the experienced guidance of medical experts" [11]. Another states that many of its products are endorsed by health-insurance providers in a number of EU countries, citing a combination of quality and value for money.

Rather than sorting its range by product type alone, URIEL organises it around the body. Its online store is arranged by area, from neck, back and shoulder to palm, pelvis, knee, ankle and foot, and each area is built around everyday complaints: whiplash, lower back pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, tennis elbow, inguinal hernia, sprained ankles, ingrown toenails and hallux valgus, the bony bump at the base of the big toe often called a bunion. A second layer of collections addresses life situations, including recovery after surgery, first aid, pregnancy, infants, travel, sport, and soldiers and new military recruits.

The company supports this with a blog of practical guides. Topics include lower back pain, posture, the choice between kinesiology tape and elastic bandages, protecting the feet while travelling, and shoulder inflammation; one posture guide is credited to a chief physiotherapist, Oriya Moran.

## Products & innovation

Orthopedic supports make up the bulk of the range. A supplier profile describes a catalogue of more than 300 items "supporting and pampering all body parts from head to toe", including cervical collars, braces for the shoulder, arm, back, chest, abdomen, knee, thigh and ankle, insoles, silicone foot supports and first-aid bandages [10]. Among the products the brand features most prominently are the AC75 shoulder straightener and an orthopedic sleeping pillow, alongside compression stockings, a wrist support, a night mitten for carpal tunnel syndrome and a double-closure back belt. Its EpicGel insoles come in Work, Comfort and Multisport versions.

The foot-care line is the part of the range closest to personal care. Under the heading "Foot solutions", URIEL groups silicone toe separators, including the 364 XL model, together with bunion protectors, toe-alignment splints for day and night wear, hammer-toe cushions, silicone heel cups for heel spurs, knitted cotton health socks for summer and winter, and gel heel socks sold for softening the skin of the heels [9]. The company sums the collection up as solutions "to relieve foot pain". Pedicure items are listed in the same part of the store.

The "Therapeutic cosmetics" collection is small. It consists of a liquid for ingrown toenails (FC342), a foot deodorant spray and an antibacterial shoe deodorant spray, which the company presents as products that help with foot care [5]. URIEL gives no ingredient lists, dermatological testing claims or formulation claims such as vegan or paraben-free for these items. An older supplier profile also mentions foot creams "from the dead sea" among the company's products; no such cream appears in the brand's current foot-care collections.

The online store also carries a co-branded collection titled "Invitalis from URIEL", made up of Vitalmed massage devices, a massage pillow and matching pillowcases [8]. Neither the nature nor the start of the collaboration has been made public.

## Distribution

In Israel, according to the company, its products are sold through the major pharmacy chains, the health funds, private pharmacies, orthopedic and physiotherapy clinics, and its own website. URIEL also identifies itself as an authorized supplier to the Israeli Ministry of Defense, under supplier number 11024726 [1], and it maintains a dedicated collection for soldiers and recruits.

Outside its home market, the company says its products are sold and marketed in Europe and the United States. A supplier profile goes further, describing distribution networks in more than 25 countries; the profile is undated.

## Current status

URIEL is active. Its online store operates with current product listings and a 2026 copyright notice, and StartupIm classifies the company as "Active, Mature". The store runs a Hebrew and an English version, and the brand maintains Instagram, YouTube and Facebook accounts. The posts on its blog carry no visible dates.
