VOM PULLACH HOF is a German brand of herbal creams, balms, gels and ointments for body and skin care. It is run by Stolz GmbH, a company based in Penzing near Landsberg am Lech in Bavaria, and takes its name from the Pullach Hof, a farmstead that is home to the family of founder Jürgen Stolz [2]. The range leans on traditional plant ingredients such as arnica, comfrey, aloe vera and alpine herb blends, alongside horse balms and gels for tired legs.

The brand's age is uncertain. Its website presents it as a partner for creams and ointments for more than 70 years [1], while the company's own account of its history describes a brand created by Jürgen Stolz after his family had owned the farm for 25 years [2]. No source gives a founding year. The brand is active.

## Origin & founders

According to the company, the idea came to Jürgen Stolz on one of his many hikes in the Allgäu mountains, where he conceived a series of pure natural creams [2]. He named the resulting brand after his home. The Pullach Hof itself is far older than the business: the farmhouse was built in 1860, and the company's history page retells a local legend that a dragon once guarded the borders of the surrounding villages so that people could live there safely. The legend is part of the farm's story, not the brand's.

The company describes the farm today as a place surrounded by woods, gardens and vegetable beds, home to sled dogs, chickens and rabbits. Its first products were developed close to the house. The company says the ideas for its earliest formulations, as well as the filling and storage of its first ointments and creams, all took place in the farm's 500-square-metre barn.

## History & milestones

The early years are described only in outline, and the company dates none of them. After the first creams came out of the barn, Stolz GmbH built a new company building in Penzing, about 400 metres from the farm. The company describes this as happening "a few years later", without naming a year.

The business also grew beyond its first label. By the company's account, further brands named Alpenhof, Naturhof and Apotheker's followed only after Pullach Hof had been established [2]. All three are sold alongside the original line in the company's own shop.

The one firmly dated event in the company's recent history is administrative. Stolz GmbH has been a member of the Händlerbund "FairCommerce" initiative since 1 June 2017 [3].

The question of the brand's age remains open. The homepage line about more than 70 years of experience with creams and ointments would place the company's roots before the mid-1950s [1]. The undated history page, by contrast, ties the brand's creation to Jürgen Stolz and to a farm the family had owned for 25 years [2]. The two statements cannot both describe the brand's founding, and neither supplies a year, so this article gives none.

## Ownership

VOM PULLACH HOF belongs to Stolz GmbH, a family company of founder Jürgen Stolz, who is named as its managing director. The company is registered with the district court of Augsburg under the number HRB 21516 and is based at Graf-Zeppelin-Straße in Penzing [3]. Its sister brands are Alpenhof, Naturhof and Apotheker's.

A different company appears in some retail descriptions. The online pharmacy Shop Apotheke writes that the Düsseldorf-based AXISIS GmbH distributes the brand, and lists products under the supplier names Stolz GmbH, Axisis GmbH, ALLPHARM Vertriebs GmbH and Megadent Deflogrip Gerhard Reeg GmbH [9]. These appear to be distributors and suppliers rather than owners; the brand's own legal notice names Stolz GmbH as the operator.

## Philosophy & positioning

The brand presents itself with two short phrases: "Regionale Naturprodukte" (regional natural products) and the tagline "Aus Liebe zur Natur" (out of love for nature). Its website title goes further, describing the range as organic products from the Alps [1]. That description applies only loosely. Some products carry "Bio" in their names, such as a hemp cream, a chamomile cream and a coconut-and-vanilla cream, but many others are not labelled organic, and no third-party certifications are documented.

Outside Germany, the brand has been described in similar terms. The Polish beauty review site Wizaż calls Pullach Hof a German cosmetics brand that specialises in traditional herbal ointments and care products, built on established recipes using natural plant extracts [10]. It singles out gels and balms made with horse chestnut, comfrey, hemp oil and devil's claw.

## Products & innovation

The company's online shop lists 148 products under the Pullach Hof name. Most fall into a handful of familiar types: creams, balms, gels, emulsions and liniments, sold in several sizes and in tubes, along with a few bar soaps.

Herbal rubs make up a large part of the line. The "10 Kräuter Pferdebalsam" (ten-herb horse balm) belongs to a German product type known as horse balm, a herbal rub that, despite the name, is sold for human use; retail listings describe these balms as soothing for the back and legs [9]. The brand also sells "Bärenbalsam" (bear balm), a "Murmeltier" (marmot) gel with mountain pine, and a warming cream. Gels combining horse chestnut and red vine leaf are described in retail listings as being for tired legs.

Other products are built around single plant ingredients. These include arnica cream, comfrey cream, aloe vera cream, an alpine herb emulsion, an argan oil balm and an avocado oil soap. The range also reaches into everyday skin care: an age-spot cream and serum, a 10 percent urea cream, a glucosamine cream, a caviar cream, a snail cream, a royal jelly body butter and a hand cream with chamomile flowers.

Product names often carry short line labels such as "Allgäu", "PH" or "traditional quality". No proprietary technologies, patents or clinical studies are documented for the brand.

## Current status

VOM PULLACH HOF is active. As of October 2026, Stolz GmbH was operating its own German-language online shop, which also sells the Alpenhof, Naturhof and Apotheker's lines. Around 20 Pullach Hof products were listed at the same time by the online pharmacy Shop Apotheke [9], and one product, a snail gel cream, appeared on the Polish review site Wizaż. The brand has no documented social media presence, press coverage or awards.
