Wild Stripes is a German brand of patterned adhesive plasters and skin patches, based in Munich and owned by the beauty brand builder and distributor New Flag GmbH [10]. Its core range is medical wound plasters printed with animal prints, rainbow dip-dye, fruit and fantasy motifs, which the company describes as EU-compliant medical devices. Around those plasters it has added blister plasters, anti-pimple and facial patches, nose stripes and mouth tapes.

The brand's pitch is that looking after a cut or graze does not have to be dull. It sells mainly through its own webshop and German drugstore chains, and has drawn coverage from German lifestyle and beauty outlets that treat it as a fashion-minded take on the first-aid cabinet. Neither its founding year nor its founders have been publicly documented.

## Ownership

Wild Stripes belongs to New Flag GmbH, a Munich company at Leopoldstrasse 154 that also operates the brand's website [3]. New Flag calls itself "Europe's leading brand builder and distributor" and lists Wild Stripes among its own brands rather than among the third-party labels it distributes [10]. Its other house brands include the hair-tie maker invisibobble, Foamie, Deserved, Natucain, Neqi and Urban Alchemy. The distribution side of the company handles external brands such as Olaplex, Tangle Teezer, Maria Nila and Living Proof.

New Flag is headquartered in Munich and has further offices in Paris, Haarlem, Warsaw, Barcelona, Prague, London and New Jersey. It names Daniel Haffa, Sophie Trelles-Tvede, Felix Haffa and Niklas Epstein as its founders, and the same four people are listed as managing directors in the Wild Stripes legal notice. They are documented as the founders of the parent company, however, not of Wild Stripes itself. No date has been published for when New Flag created or took over the plaster brand.

Professional and trade customers in Germany and Austria can order the range through New Flag PRO, the group's business-to-business shop [11].

## Philosophy & positioning

Wild Stripes frames its mission in a single line: caring for cuts and abrasions "does not have to be boring", and people can show their courage "with a bit of style". On its About page the company says the brand combines safety and fun. It adds that it is about more than healing, and that self-care is not only necessary but can also be enjoyable [2]. Its tagline translates as "Reliable protection, stylish plasters".

That positioning puts the brand somewhere between a pharmacy product and a fashion accessory. The designs are meant to be seen: leopard, tiger and zebra prints, checks and paisley, unicorns and mermaids for children, and fruit such as doughnuts, pineapples and pizza on the finger plasters. Pinkmelon, a German online magazine, noted that it would happily wear the rainbow plasters as festival accessories, and contrasted the range with conventional flesh-coloured or white wound plasters [8].

The brand addresses adults as much as children. According to the company, its designs and patented shape invite "people of every age" to show their wildest side. The website also runs an influencer and content creator programme, with a separate sign-up for Spain.

## Products & innovation

### Wound plasters

The plaster range is built around a few product lines. Classic Sensitive comes in Animal and Fashion designs and, according to a 2024 product test by the German blog Culture and Cream, is hypoallergenic and can be worn for up to 24 hours [9]. Kids Sensitive carries space and fantasy motifs. Waterproof Secure Rainbow is aimed at swimming and other water activities, and Finger Flexi Food has an ergonomic fit intended for cuts on fingers and fingertips.

Wild Stripes says its Classic Sensitive, Finger Flexi and Kids plasters use a thin, flexible fabric that moves "like a second skin" and peels off easily. It describes its waterproof plasters as "100 % waterproof", able to withstand prolonged contact with moisture [2]. The company also claims a "patented shape" for its plasters, though no patent number has been published. Its FAQ gives the absorbent pad as viscose and polyester on an elastic fabric backing.

The brand is open about one limitation. Its FAQ states that the plasters are generally not latex-free: the plasters themselves contain no latex, but the adhesive on the individual wrappers does [4]. Blister plasters complete the wound-care range.

### Kits

Wild Stripes bundles its products into themed sets, including a Travel Essentials Kit, a Festival Kit and a First Aid Kit. The Travel Essentials Kit was announced on the brand's blog in November 2024 [5].

### Face, sport and sleep

Beyond wound care, the brand sells anti-pimple patches in decorative designs. The Groovy set uses flower-power prints, Smile Prevent features coloured smiley faces, and Holo Clear takes the form of holographic stickers. A facial patch line includes Facial Patches Leo and Cooling Patches Moonlight Glow.

Under a "Sport & Sleep" heading the company sells Nose Stripes and Mouth Tapes. Pinkmelon described the Nose Stripes Set Sunrise as intended to support breathing through the nose during sleep or exercise, and the Mouth Tapes Sunset as meant to discourage mouth breathing at night. The magazine added that users should apply them correctly and avoid them if they have problems breathing through the nose.

Across the range, Wild Stripes promotes its products as EU-compliant medical devices with an "85 % recommendation rate", a satisfaction figure stated by the company rather than a clinical result [7].

### Packaging

According to the company's FAQ, its packaging is FSC-certified and made from cold-seal paper, glazed paper and OPP film. No other third-party certifications, and no vegan or cruelty-free statements, are documented for the brand. Its manufacturing location has not been disclosed.

## History & milestones

The brand's early history is not publicly documented. The earliest dated coverage is an August 2024 product test by Culture and Cream. In it, the reviewer recalled having had to bring unusual colourful plasters back from America, and welcomed that they were now available locally [9].

On its own blog, Wild Stripes published a post in August 2024 on how creative plaster designs can help children through healing, followed in November 2024 by the launch announcement for the Travel Essentials Kit. In January 2025 Pinkmelon featured the Munich brand in its "Brand to watch" series. By then the range had grown from plasters to anti-pimple patches, nose stripes and mouth tapes.

## Recognition

No awards are documented for Wild Stripes. Its press coverage consists of German lifestyle and beauty titles. Culture and Cream tested four plaster lines in 2024 and praised their colour, wear time and water resistance. Pinkmelon's 2025 "Brand to watch" feature gave an overview of the plasters, patches and sleep products, noting that first-aid products had "rarely" looked as cute and stylish [8].

## Current status

Wild Stripes is an active brand. Its webshop is live with current product ranges, and New Flag continues to list it among its own brands. Its retailer page names the drugstore chains dm, Rossmann, Müller and Budni, the online pharmacy DocMorris and Amazon's German store as stockists [6]. The most recent dated public items are a brand blog post from November 2024 and the Pinkmelon feature from January 2025.
