Glowpedia
Methodology

Sources & method.

How we know what we write. Glowpedia is built on a source-checked fact base where every claim is traceable — that is the difference from generic AI text.

Source tiers (T1–T4)

We rank sources by strength. T1 is the brand's own website — the primary source for what a brand says about itself. T2 is independent editorial material and Wikipedia. T3 is trade notes and retailers. T4 is weak or single-point claims. Every source in an article is labelled with its tier.

Quote verification

Every field in our fact base carries a verbatim quote and a source URL. If a source doesn't say it, we don't write it. Fields with only weak support are omitted rather than guessed — we'd rather stay silent than be wrong.

Status — active, dormant, defunct

We state honestly whether a brand is active, dormant, defunct or acquired. The history of discontinued brands is encyclopedic value, not something we hide.

Source conflicts

When sources disagree — about a founding year, for instance — we present both values rather than quietly picking one. That difference is what we want to show, not conceal.

Corrections

Found an error? Suggest a correction, and the editors verify it against sources and update the article. An open correction process is part of the credibility, not an exception to it.

Updates

Articles are updated as new facts arrive — acquisitions, name changes, closures. The source date is shown so you know how fresh a claim is.
