Evyap

Evyap began as a soap maker in Erzurum, in eastern Turkey, in 1927 [3]. Over the following decades the business grew from that single product line into a broad manufacturer of personal care and household goods, and moved its base to Istanbul, where the company is now headquartered [3]. Alongside finished consumer products, Evyap built out large-scale oleochemicals production — the raw material base for soaps and cleansing products — and developed an export business that, according to the company's own description, reaches over 100 countries [2].

Evyap owns a portfolio of personal care brands sold across soap, skincare, shaving, deodorant and baby-care categories. Among its brands are Duru, Arko, Activex, Evy Baby, Gibbs, Fax and Sanino [4]. Arko is one of the group's long-standing shaving and personal care lines, while Duru is among its best-known soap and skincare names. Evyap is privately held and has stayed under family ownership and control since it was founded, with no external shareholders or public trading [4]. The company is associated with the Evyap family, described as descendants of founder Mehmet Rifat Evyap [4].
