Overview
AnteAGE is a United States professional skincare brand specializing in growth-factor and cytokine-based products for skin rejuvenation. It operates as a division of Cellese, a regenerative-medicine company based in Irvine, California, and its formulas are built around laboratory-cultured signaling molecules rather than living cells. The line is sold mainly through dermatologists' offices and aesthetic clinics, where the products are applied alongside treatments such as microneedling, radiofrequency and laser resurfacing [5].
The brand remains active. According to its parent company, AnteAGE products are sold in 45 countries, and Cellese's revenues have grown about 70 percent annually since 2020 [5]. In September 2024 the private-equity healthcare firm ARCHIMED acquired a majority stake in Cellese [5].
Origin
AnteAGE was launched in the second quarter of 2012 as a division of Cellese Regenerative Therapeutics [6]; the parent company, Cellese, had itself been founded in Irvine, California, in 2009 [5]. Sources therefore differ on which year marks the brand's origin — the 2012 launch of the AnteAGE line, or the 2009 founding of Cellese. The company's stated aim was to apply stem-cell and growth-factor science, more often associated with regenerative medicine, to topical skincare.
Ownership
Cellese, and with it AnteAGE, has been majority-owned by ARCHIMED since September 2024, when the private-equity firm — which specializes in healthcare — took a controlling stake [5]. The brand has continued to operate and sell under its own name following the investment.
Products and innovation
AnteAGE's products center on what the company calls Cytosignals: recombinant growth factors and cytokines cultured in a controlled laboratory environment. According to the brand, these yield "biosignals" meant to prompt the skin's own repair and renewal [3], and the company says its scientists pioneered the use of this cell-signaling technology in aesthetics and dermatology [2]. The active material is described as cell-free conditioned media drawn from cultured human bone-marrow mesenchymal stem cells and supplemented with recombinant growth factors — an approach that lets the brand describe its products as containing no living cells [6].
A second technology, marketed as Biosomes, consists of topically applied exosomes, the lipid nanoparticles that cells use to communicate. AnteAGE describes Biosomes as "the first truly biomimetic exosome product derived without human cells" [4], and says the resulting signals can increase firmness, reduce redness, and improve skin texture and tone.
The range includes the AnteAGE MD Cyto System, the MDX line, and individual serums, accelerators and growth-factor solutions in both facial and hair variants, along with a Biogel. The company states that its products are always cruelty-free, cell-free, paraben-free, pathogen-free and dye-free.
Recognition
In an editorial review, Harper's Bazaar Arabia covered the AnteAGE treatment, with a Dubai dermatologist reporting results on acne scarring and hair regrowth and a beauty columnist describing smoother, brighter skin after use [7].
Current status
AnteAGE is an active brand. Its website carried a 2025 copyright, and its parent company reports global sales across 45 countries with roughly 70 percent annual revenue growth since 2020 [5]. The 2024 ARCHIMED majority-stake investment was presented as growth capital rather than a wind-down, and the brand continues to trade under its own name.
