Overview
Bioliq is a Polish dermocosmetics brand specialising in skincare for women across different age groups. It was launched in 2006 by Aflofarm, one of Poland's largest pharmaceutical companies, as the firm's entry into the dermocosmetics market [7]. The brand is owned by Aflofarm Farmacja Polska Sp. z o.o. and is based in Pabianice, in central Poland [1].
The range is organised largely by age, with face-care lines aimed at skin from the mid-twenties upward, alongside body care, cleansing and products for problem skin. Bioliq is sold chiefly through Polish pharmacies and drugstore chains, and the brand remains active, operating a current Polish and English website [12].
Origin and ownership
Bioliq belongs to Aflofarm, a company founded in 1989 in Pabianice by Andrzej Furman and his wife under the name Aflopa, beginning as a manufacturing and trading business [7]. Aflofarm grew into a major Polish drug maker; according to the parent company, it has held the position of market leader in over-the-counter pharmaceuticals in Poland since 2012, with a portfolio of more than 180 product brands [6].
The Bioliq line dates to 2006, the year Jacek Furman became chief executive and Aflofarm moved into dermocosmetics [7]. The company has not published the names of individuals credited specifically with creating the brand. Aflofarm, headquartered at ul. Partyzancka in Pabianice, says it exports its products to around 31 countries [6], though Bioliq itself is positioned primarily as a Polish brand sold through domestic pharmacies.
Philosophy and positioning
Aflofarm describes Bioliq as a dermocosmetics brand built to address the individual needs of women's skin at every age. The company says its formulas are based on natural, concentrated active substances obtained through extraction methods chosen to preserve the ingredients' properties.
Much of the range is structured around age brackets, with dedicated face-care lines for skin aged 25 and over through to 65 and over, as well as an all-ages segment. Alongside these sit specialised sub-lines marketed under names such as PRO, CLEAN, DERMO, SPECIALIST and SPF, covering concerns including capillaries, acne, atopic skin and discolouration.
Products and ingredients
The brand identifies an extract of Onopordum acanthium — the cotton thistle — as the foundation of its creams, attributing to it regenerative properties that, in the company's words, stimulate the skin's renewal with a repairing and restoring effect [2]. Individual products add further plant extracts and active ingredients matched to specific concerns. Recurring ingredients across the range include low-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid, argan oil, wheat germ extract, macadamia oil and caviar extract, the last of which the brand discusses for its amino acids, proteins and fatty acids.
Several products have anchored the line. The Bioliq PRO line includes the Intensive Moisturizing Serum and an Intensive Eye Serum, both of which drew awards. Within the SPECIALIST range, the Pointwise Toner Serum is presented as a two-in-one formula that the company says reduces blemishes while providing coverage for up to eight hours. The DERMO line includes an Anti-dark Spot Depigmenting Serum, which the brand says contains shikimic acid derived from the Illicium lanceolatum shrub together with SPF 20 protection [11]. A dedicated 65+ line for mature skin followed in 2021.
Recognition
Bioliq products have repeatedly placed in the Excellence of the Year awards run by the Polish magazine Twój Styl, described by the parent company as one of the country's largest cosmetics competitions [9]. Two products from the SPECIALIST line were recognised in 2017, the Pro Intensive Moisturizing Serum in 2018, and the Pro Intensive Eye Serum in 2019 — a run the company characterised as a third consecutive win [8]. The 65+ line was honoured in 2021 [9]. Olga Wieczorek, identified as Bioliq's brand manager, has been quoted on the award-winning formulations, noting one contained the highest concentration of hyaluronic acid the brand had used to that point [9].
Current status
Bioliq is active. It maintains a Polish- and English-language website carrying a 2026 copyright and continues to offer current product lines [1]. Distribution remains centred on Poland, where the brand is stocked by pharmacy and drugstore chains including Hebe [12]. No certifications, sustainability commitments or controversies are documented in the brand's own materials.
