CKD Guaranteed is a South Korean skincare brand run by Chong Kun Dang Healthcare, the health-supplement arm of the pharmaceutical group Chong Kun Dang [4]. Based in Dangjin, in the country's Chungcheongnam-do province, it markets itself as a maker of "skin health functional cosmetics" — products that rework ingredients drawn from dietary supplements into topical skincare. The company sums up the idea in its tagline, "Nutrical Skin Health," and in a stated principle of filling formulas "with nutrients instead of water."

The brand is best known for its Retino Collagen Small Molecule 300 range, an anti-aging line built around retinal and low-molecular-weight collagen that became a bestseller on Olive Young, South Korea's largest beauty retailer [8]. CKD Guaranteed remains active, with direct online sales, an Amazon storefront in the United States, and product reviews continuing through 2024 and 2025.

The "CKD" in the name comes from Chong Kun Dang, the pharmaceutical group founded in Seoul in 1941 by Lee Jong-kun, originally as Goongbon Pharmacy [7]. On its global site the company also presents the letters as a backronym, "Calm & Keep for Dermatology," describing it as a reflection of Chong Kun Dang Healthcare's skin-health technology [4].

The cosmetics line itself is more recent. According to the K-beauty retailer Skin Seoul, the group moved into skincare in 2017, carrying its health-and-wellness background into beauty products [10]; the brand's own materials do not state a founding year. Ownership is layered: the immediate parent is Chong Kun Dang Healthcare, the group's health-supplement business [4], while the ultimate corporate parent is the wider Chong Kun Dang pharmaceutical group, listed under Chong Kun Dang Holdings [7]. No individual founder of the cosmetics brand is identified.

CKD Guaranteed frames skin health as the basis of beauty, and positions its products as "Nutrical Cosmetics" — a concept it describes as combining nutrient-rich ingredients proven in health functional foods with proprietary skin science. The company organizes its promises around four points: proven ingredients, a "Target Delivery System" for absorption, "In-Vivo Tested" formulas said to be fully tested for human application, and a "clean beauty" commitment to customers, society and the environment. Its stated values are grouped as Essential, Advance and Proven, and it describes its aim as "the most reliable way to choose healthy cosmetics."

That clean-beauty positioning extends to packaging. The company says it pursues eco-friendly production through recyclable materials and soybean-oil-based printing on its containers, packaging and shipping boxes. No third-party certifications are documented.

The line centers on the Retino Collagen Small Molecule 300 family, sold as a First Essence, an Intensive Cream and a standard Cream, along with a Gua Sha Neck Cream that pairs the formula with a built-in massage tool. Across these products the brand highlights a set of hero ingredients: small-molecule collagen at roughly 300 Daltons, retinal and retinol, Lactobacillus ferment lysate, and polyhydroxy acid (PHA). In an editorial review, DermApproved described the Intensive Cream as combining retinal at 200 ppm with 55 percent low-molecular collagen and a multi-peptide complex [8]. Beyond the Olive Young bestseller standing of the core cream [8], the Gua Sha Neck Cream was singled out in a review by Numberskin as fitting current K-beauty trends and aimed at users "in their late 20s and beyond" seeking anti-aging care [9].
