Delia Cosmetics is a Polish family-owned cosmetics company based in Rzgów, near Łódź, that makes makeup, hair care and skin care for the drugstore market. Delia was founded by Dr Józef Szmich, a Polish chemist, in Rzgów [6]. Its first product was "Biała henna" (white henna), a hair lightener [6]. The company traces its roots to what it calls "strong foundations of family and friendship," and it has stayed family-led: Józef Szmich is described as founder and mentor, with Alina Szmich serving as president and Karol Szmich as chairman [2]. The range spans several categories: eyebrow products, makeup for the face, eyes, lips and nails, hair colouring and care, face and body care, and a men's line. Its signature product is eyebrow henna — a powder or cream tint that colours both the hairs and the skin beneath them, producing what the company calls a "bio-tattoo" effect lasting up to four weeks through a blend of henna and indigo.
