Summary

Overview

Eva Natura is a Polish line of natural-origin cosmetics for face, body and hair, made by Fabryka Kosmetyków Pollena-Ewa S.A. The line was introduced in 1996, when its first Flax (Len) and Amber series reached the market [1]. The brand remains active: in 2025 one of its hair-care lines won an industry award, and several new products appeared across 2024 and 2025 [2].

Pollena-Ewa, the maker behind Eva Natura, traces its own history to a small soap and cosmetics factory founded in Łódź in 1919 by Hugo Güttel and Józef Wójtowicz [3]. That long lineage sits behind a brand that is itself a product of the 1990s, built on botanical ingredients drawn from what the company calls Polish natural heritage.

Origin and founders

The factory that would become Pollena-Ewa began in central Łódź in 1919, producing soaps and eau de cologne before expanding into powders, shampoos and nail enamels. It was nationalised in 1951 and operated as the "Ewa" cosmetics factory, then joined the state "Pollena" chemical-industry union in 1971, taking the name Pollena-Ewa it still uses. The company was privatised in the 1990s, entered the Commercial Register in 1992, and was listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange in 1999.

Eva Natura itself dates to 1996, when Pollena-Ewa launched its Flax and Amber lines. The line's specific founders are not documented separately from the parent company's, and the 1919 founders belong to the factory's story rather than to Eva Natura as a brand.

Ownership

Pollena-Ewa is owned by TZMO S.A. (Toruńskie Zakłady Materiałów Opatrunkowych), a Polish group better known for medical and hygiene products. According to the company's own account, TZMO first entered as a strategic investor in 2003 and became the sole shareholder, holding 100 percent of Pollena-Ewa, in November 2012 [3]. The company was delisted from the Warsaw Stock Exchange in January 2013. Polish Wikipedia records the acquisition simply as a 2003 purchase by TZMO, compressing the two steps into a single date [4]; Pollena-Ewa's own history distinguishes the 2003 investment from the full 2012 takeover.

Eva Natura sits within Pollena-Ewa's wider "Eva" family of brands, alongside Eva Sun, Eva Dermo and the Kanion line, among others.

Philosophy and positioning

The line is presented as nature-inspired cosmetics rooted in Polish botanical tradition. "Eva Natura cosmetics are inspired by the Polish nature," the brand's listing states, describing a range that includes liquid soaps, bath products and intense fragrances [5]. Its English-language tagline is "closer to nature," and the company frames the products as comprehensive face, body and hair care for women.

In market terms, Eva Natura is positioned in the drugstore segment. Industry press has described Pollena-Ewa as an economical-segment cosmetics producer, and the brand is sold through Polish drugstore chains and the company's online shop [6].

Products and innovation

Eva Natura's identity rests on plant-derived "biocomplexes," most prominently its amber and flax complexes, which named the original 1996 series [1]. Other formulations draw on ingredients such as ceramides, keratin and herbal extracts including nettle, birch and chamomile. The range spans hair care, bath and body, hand and foot creams, and creamy liquid soaps, organised into sub-collections such as Beauty Fruity, Triple Power of Herbs, Nature Style and Intensive Moisturising.

Pollena-Ewa describes itself as the first company in Poland to produce liquid shampoos based on natural herbal extracts [3]. Some recent additions are marketed as vegan, with the company citing "VEGAN" and "100% NATURAL" symbols on its packaging [7].

Recognition

Eva Natura products have twice received the Polish "Pearl of the Cosmetic Market" (Perła Rynku Kosmetycznego) distinction: in 2008 for its Young Skin Comfort line [1], and in 2025 for the Intensive Moisturising (Intensywne Nawilżanie) hair-care line [2]. The 2025 award was covered in the Polish trade publication Wiadomości Kosmetyczne. In 2017, the television presenter Paulina Krupińska became an ambassador for the Eva brand family.

Current status

Eva Natura is active. The 2025 award and a run of new launches across 2024 and 2025 — among them a Beauty Fruity shower gel, a Triple Power of Herbs hair mask, and a vegan creamy soap — point to continuing development [2]. The brand's reach is described in slightly different terms across the parent group's own pages: the English Eva Natura page states distribution across more than 60 markets spanning the European Union, Central and Eastern Europe, Africa and the Far East [1], while the Polish "Eva" umbrella page gives a figure of more than 80 markets [9]. Production is based in Zelów, Poland, with the company's registered office in Konstantynów Łódzki.
