Eyracure is a Swedish hair-care brand based in Linköping that develops at-home bond-repair treatments built around a proprietary plant-protein technology called BioLAP-20. The company was founded in 2018 by Ranjithkumar Ravichandran, Petter Sivlér and Mårten Skog, who met during biomedicine studies at Linköping University [8][9]. It operates as a limited company, Eyracure AB, and remains active, selling directly through its own site and through the Nordic retailer Lyko, which holds a minority stake.

The brand sits in the bond-repair, or "plex", category of hair treatments aimed at chemically processed and heat-damaged hair. Its central idea is to bring a salon-style repair step into a home routine, combining a sprayed treatment with a light-activated brush.

The three founders came from research backgrounds rather than the beauty industry. Ravichandran and Sivlér worked in medical nanotechnology and biomaterials, and together with their team at Linköping University they developed the BioLAP-20 formula that the brand is built around [8]. Sources disagree on the founding year. The 2026 date reflects the year of a site refresh rather than the company's establishment; the 2018 incorporation is the corroborated founding year.

Eyracure's signature technology is BioLAP-20, which the company expands as "Bio-Light Activated Plant protein". It is based on a natural soy protein designed to bond with damaged hair and form new links between broken strands. According to retailer and editorial descriptions of the technology, the molecule carries more than 20 bonds — described as four to ten times more than the two most common bond builders on the market — and its low molecular weight lets it reach the cortex and repair hair from the inside out [7].

The treatment is applied in a multi-step ritual: a shampoo, a sprayed bond-repair treatment, and a BioLAP-20 Activator Brush fitted with near-UV LED lights that activate the molecules in the hair. The company says the treatment restores strength and shine in about ten minutes and that results are visible after the first use; it positions the repair as lasting, with reapplication suggested roughly every four weeks to counter new daily damage.

The product line is sold mainly as kits and individual hair products, including a Bond Repair Hair Treatment, an Essential Kit, a Nourishing Cleanse Shampoo and a Balancing Care Conditioner, alongside larger bundles. In September 2022, Lyko acquired a 10 percent minority stake in Eyracure, framed as a strategic investment in Swedish hair-technology innovation [8]. The founders retain ownership of the company, which remained independently run as a small team — three employees according to 2023 filings.

At the Stockholm Beauty Week Awards in 2022, Eyracure won in two categories: Best Hair Treatment and Best Conditioner [7]. The brand has also been reviewed by Swedish beauty editorial, including a write-up by Malin Tilja that described strong results on bleached and severely damaged hair [9].
