Overview
GESKE is a German beauty-technology company based in Berlin that makes app-connected skincare devices, such as cleansing brushes, microcurrent tools and LED masks, paired with a smartphone app that scans the user's skin and builds a routine around it. The consumer brand debuted in 2022 [5], positioning itself around what it calls SmartAppGuided technology: hardware designed to work together with AI-driven analysis. The company markets the range as professional-style skincare made affordable enough for daily home use, and it sells across many markets, including a dedicated Swedish storefront.
The brand's history is split between a young consumer identity and an older corporate shell. GESKE the beauty brand is recent, but the operating company behind it is not, which produces a genuine question over when the company "began."

Origin and corporate lineage
There are two defensible dates for GESKE's founding, and they describe different things. Editorial and press coverage place the launch of the GESKE consumer beauty brand in 2022 [5]. Germany's company registry tells a longer story: the operating entity was first incorporated in Berlin in November 2017 under the unrelated name Romance for Charity GmbH, was renamed Triple A BeautyTech GmbH in December 2020, and only became GESKE Technologies GmbH in January 2024 [8]. The 2017 date is therefore the registration of the legal vehicle under earlier, unrelated names, not the debut of the beauty brand that carries the GESKE name today.
The name itself derives from André Geske, who is listed in the registry as managing director of the operating company from September 2018; he was removed in January 2022, when Sven Pelka took over as managing director [8]. No source describes Geske explicitly as the brand's founder, and the leadership in place for the 2022 consumer launch was different from the people who first registered the company.
The corporate picture is further complicated by GESKE running through more than one Berlin entity. The Swedish-market legal notice names GESKE GmbH (commercial register HRB 252519 B), with Sven Pelka as managing director, at Leipziger Platz 18 in Berlin [4] — a different registration number from the GESKE Technologies GmbH entity (HRB 259582 B) recorded in the registry [8]. No single parent company is stated across these entities.
Philosophy and positioning
GESKE describes itself as an "AI-driven skincare revolution" that combines science-backed technology with intuitive design. The company frames its work around three pillars it calls scientific skincare, intuitive product design and advanced AI development, and states its mission as helping users "start your journey to eternal beauty by unleashing expert knowledge." Its core slogan is "Embrace the future. Think flawless skin. Think GESKE." Commercially, the brand's distinguishing choice is price: it positions multifunctional devices, many of which would traditionally sit at a premium, at drugstore-level cost.
Products and technology
GESKE's catalogue is built around handheld devices rather than cosmetics, organised into categories such as devices, accessories, a licensed Hello Kitty line produced with Sanrio, and a smaller cosmetics range. Most products are multifunction tools labelled with a number, such as the Sonic Thermo Facial Brush (6 in 1), the Sonic Warm and Cool Mask (9 in 1), the MicroCurrent Face Lifter (6 in 1) and the MicroNeedle Rollers (9 in 1).
The unifying idea is the companion app. The brand's SmartAppGuided system asks the user to take a selfie, runs an AI skin scan that it says measures factors such as impurities, oiliness, texture and fine lines, and then recommends sessions and a weekly routine with instructional videos. According to the company, the range launched as the "first holistic SmartAppGuided skincare range," with the app available in dozens of languages [5].
The signature product is the Sonic Thermo Facial Brush, a cleansing tool that combines vibration, warming and massage. Reviewing it in 2024, the technology magazine T3 called it "an impressive AI-powered skincare device" and noted its low price, while flagging a proprietary charging cable and the lack of a standing base as drawbacks [6]. GESKE also offers a long product warranty on its devices, listed on its site as 15 years.
On testing and certification, the company states that its devices carry the Dermatest seal of approval and that it works to the ISO 13485 standard for medical-device quality management [5]. These are claims made by the brand rather than independently confirmed in the packet's third-party sources.
Recognition
GESKE leans heavily on design and innovation awards in its marketing, describing itself in its home market as "the most awarded beauty company." Among the recognitions cited are the CES Innovation Award and the German Innovation Award, both in 2023 [5], alongside design honours including Red Dot (2023), iF Design (2024) and the German Design Award (2025). Beyond awards, the brand has drawn editorial coverage of the beauty-tech category, including a 2024 feature in Cosmetics Design Europe and the T3 device review.
Current status
GESKE is an active, trading brand. The company reports a wide retail footprint across more than 130 countries and a large device catalogue, sells through its own site as well as third-party retailers such as Amazon and Urban Outfitters [5], and lists award wins as recent as 2025. Its e-commerce operates in multiple regional locales, including a live Swedish store.
