Summary

Overview

Glow Hub is a British skincare and beauty brand aimed at a Generation Z and teenage audience, known for affordable, vegan formulas and colour-coded, mix-and-match routines. It was founded by Tiffany Salmon [5] and grew out of her family's private-label manufacturing company, Amelia Knight Ltd [6]. The brand remains active: in 2026 it was mid-rebrand, describing the change on its site as "a new era of Glow Hub," and its products are sold across major UK and international retailers.

Sources disagree on the founding year. Great British Life records that Glow Hub was founded in 2019 and launched on the retailer ASOS that same year [6], while founder interviews in TechRound and Retail Week date it to 2020, the year of the first COVID-19 lockdown [5][7]. The earlier date appears to mark the brand's creation and the later one its main launch and scale-up. The company itself does not state a founding year on its website.

Origin and founders

Glow Hub was created by Tiffany Salmon, who had been working as a creative director within Amelia Knight, her family's manufacturing business established in 1998. The company develops private-label products for other retailers, and Salmon has said she identified a gap in the market for a skincare line that spoke to a younger audience in a relatable way. In a founder interview she described the starting point as the sense that "no one was serving gen z skincare that looked cool, was super effective and easy to understand," contrasting it with teenage skincare she viewed as expensive and harsh.

The brand sets out to be, in Salmon's words, "aspirational, but also attainable, easy to understand, educational but not overwhelming with a price point that isn't ridiculous." That positioning runs through a simple one-two-three step routine intended to be adapted to different skin types.

Its registered location is also reported differently across sources. Great British Life places the business in Knutsford, Cheshire [6], the home of the Amelia Knight family company, while a wider search summary associated with the Superdrug launch referred more generally to Manchester. The Knutsford account is the more specific and is tied to the founder's family business.

Ownership

Glow Hub's research, development and manufacturing are owned by Amelia Knight Ltd, the founder's family company. According to the FAQ, the brand makes its products in the United Kingdom and, unlike many beauty labels, owns its own facilities: "we own our research, development and manufacturing facilities, which means we formulate & create everything ourselves" [3]. This in-house model lets the company manufacture and develop its range directly rather than outsourcing production.

Philosophy and positioning

The brand frames itself as female-founded, expert-driven and built around its customer community. Its stated aim is high-performance skincare and beauty "powered by hardworking ingredients, designed to deliver real results without overcomplicating your routine." Glow Hub places strong emphasis on education: it segments advice for children by age group, covering ages 7 to 11 and 12 to 18, and has used blog content, webinars and TikTok Live sessions to address parental concerns about young people and skincare. Products carry minimum-age safety icons.

On ingredients, the company says it combines natural ingredients with synthetic, laboratory-made actives, choosing whichever delivers the best result: if a man-made ingredient "(that's safe for your skin) and can do it better- we're going to use it to get the highest efficacy levels" [3]. Its core demographic is reported as 18 to 25 year olds, though the company acknowledges a younger following on social media [6].

Products and innovation

Glow Hub spans skincare, hybrid makeup and a small fragrance line. Great British Life reported a range of more than 40 products across cleansers, serums and sunscreen, including three cleanser formats: water-based, balm and gel-to-oil. Frequently cited products include the Defend Yourself SPF 30 Facial Sunscreen and the Hydration Hero Serum, both described as suitable from age seven, the Under Cover Concealer, sold with an online shade-finder tool, and hybrid makeup such as the Baby Beam Skin Tint and the Lip Slip Glossy Lip Oil. As part of its 2026 rebrand, the company has extended into collectable "wearable beauty" items, including keychain accessories, body mists and fragrance.

The brand states that all its products are vegan and that it is approved under the Leaping Bunny programme, having been "independently audited by the Cruelty Free International organisation" against its cruelty-free standards [3]. The company describes Leaping Bunny as requiring a fixed cut-off date policy and ongoing, independently audited supplier monitoring.

History and milestones

Glow Hub launched on ASOS at its founding and expanded into wider retail over the following years. The company has said it is stocked in more than 20 countries and over 1,000 retail outlets [5]. It entered Selfridges and Sephora in 2024 [6], and in May 2025 launched in roughly 400 Superdrug stores [7]. Announcing the Superdrug partnership, Salmon described the chain as "a nostalgic and trusted destination for so many parents," positioning it as a way to reach both the brand's Gen Z customers and their parents.
