Jayjun is a South Korean skincare brand best known for its sheet masks, multi-step mask sets and, more recently, ampoules built around the K-beauty ingredient trend for salmon-derived PDRN. Business databases such as CB Insights and LinkedIn date the company to 2014 [7][8], while the brand's own account describes its beginnings on "a cold winter day in 2015" [2] — a discrepancy that may reflect the gap between corporate registration and the public product launch. The company says it was started by a group of plastic surgeons, dermatologists and researchers under the slogan "Responsible for Beauty," with a stated aim of addressing the signs of skin ageing.

The brand remains active. Its products are distributed across more than 30 countries, and the listed Korean entity behind it underwent significant ownership changes in 2025 [9].

According to Jayjun, the company grew out of a collaboration between medical and research professionals who "put their heads together under the mission to provide a solution for aging skin" [2]. The brand does not name the individuals involved, describing them collectively as plastic surgeons, dermatologists and researchers. StyleKorean, a K-beauty retailer, frames the same founding principle as "fundamentally resolving women's problems, skin-aging, and making skin younger," and notes the brand's emphasis on medical-cosmetic formulation.

The early product range centred on the Real Water Brightening Black Mask, a three-step sheet mask intended to cleanse, treat and moisturise, alongside the Vita Snow Essence [2]. The brand states that its products are designed, tested and made in South Korea.

Jayjun's consumer brand and its corporate parent have separate histories, and the sources distinguish between them. The JAYJUN beauty line launched in 2014–2015, but the listed entity that operates it — traded on the Korea Stock Exchange under ticker 025620 — reports a legacy founding year of 1972, reflecting an older corporate shell rather than the beauty brand itself [9].

Two ownership changes are documented. In July 2019, Kolmar Korea Holdings acquired Jayjun's sheet-mask manufacturing plant in Incheon [10]. In 2025, control of the parent shifted again: Cha Care Services, part of the Cha Bio Group, secured the largest shareholder position in October 2025, and the corporate entity — previously Jayjun Cosmetic Co., Ltd. — was renamed Cha AI Healthcare Co., Ltd. in December 2025 [9]. Jayjun positions itself around medical-cosmetic skincare aimed at ageing skin, a stance it ties to its founders' clinical backgrounds. StyleKorean characterises the brand's products as crafted "from experts' perspective and with the use of medical cosmetics." Sheet masks remain Jayjun's core category, sold individually and in multi-step sets, alongside cleansers, creams, emulsions, eye creams, essences, serums, ampoules, toners and eye gel patches. Recurring hero products include the Intensive Shining Mask, the Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Mask, and the PDRN Porcelain Single-Use Ampoules, the last of these aligning the brand with the salmon-DNA skincare trend.

The brand lists a range of active ingredients across its formulas, among them eight multi-weighted forms of hyaluronic acid, salmon-derived PDRN, ceramide NP, panthenol, niacinamide, adenosine, idebenone and ectoin. Jayjun describes its products as hypoallergenic, dermatologist-tested and suitable for sensitive skin, and states that they are free of parabens and not tested on animals [3]. For its Anti-Dust Fresh Foam Cleanser, the company claims removal of 58% of micro-dust particles [4].

Jayjun has described several environmental commitments. The company said it would donate 20% of sales from its It Began Tansy All-in-One Essence to tree-planting initiatives, and it states that some of its sheet masks use biodegradable materials such as Tencel fibre [4]. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the brand reported sending skincare products to frontline healthcare workers experiencing mask-related skin irritation.

Jayjun is an active brand with multi-region distribution. Its product range, including the PDRN ampoules, continues to be sold on its US site and through international K-beauty retailers, and the listed Korean parent saw recent corporate activity with the December 2025 rename to Cha AI Healthcare [9]. The brand's US-facing blog has not been updated since August 2021, suggesting reduced editorial output on that channel even as core product distribution remains globally active.
