Jorum Studio is an independent fragrance house based in Edinburgh, Scotland, founded in 2019 by the Scottish perfumer Euan McCall and the designer Chloe Mullen [1][8]. The Jorum Studio brand dates to 2019, but its roots run back further. McCall first established a perfumery business, Jorum Laboratories, working as a freelance perfumer and consultant who formulated and manufactured fragrances for clients before launching his own label. According to The Perfume Society, McCall's interest in fragrance began in childhood, encouraged by grandparents whose horticulture business gave him an early love of aroma, and was crystallised by a family holiday to Grasse — the historic perfume town in southern France — at the age of eight. Rather than attending a formal perfumery school, he pursued self-directed study and worked alongside several perfumers, among them a Highlands-based mentor, the Irish master perfumer George Dodd; when Dodd died in 2020, McCall became custodian of his raw-materials archive [9].
