Le Chaton is a Czech skincare brand built around goat-milk ingredients. It is one of three lines produced by Kosmetika Capri spol. s.r.o., a manufacturer founded in 1995 by the agricultural engineer Jitka Poláková [11]. Le Chaton's parent company grew out of an unusual path through Czech agriculture. According to a 2020 feature by the cancer-patient organisation Mamma HELP, founder Jitka Poláková trained in agricultural science with a focus on animal husbandry and worked near Dobříš during the socialist era, supplying glove manufacturers. Learning that quality leather gloves required goat hide, she began raising goats.

After the 1989 revolution, the business shifted. Poláková and her team travelled to France to learn cheese-making and at first intended to produce goat cheese. When demand proved too weak and the leftover whey became a waste product, she drew inspiration from an Austrian pharmacy that sold goat-milk salves. Le Chaton is marketed as an exclusive line centred on natural ingredients, with an emphasis on calming the skin and minimising allergic reactions. The range is aimed at mature and sensitive skin, including people prone to allergies, atopy or psoriasis, and the company says its products are clinically tested for compatibility with very sensitive skin.

Across its materials, Kosmetika Capri stresses Czech production, a high proportion of natural active ingredients and minimal chemical preservatives.
