Mesoestetic is a Spanish skincare and aesthetic-medicine company based in Viladecans, just outside Barcelona. It develops and manufactures professional skincare, cosmeceuticals and aesthetic-medicine products, and is best known for Cosmelan, a clinic-administered method for treating skin pigmentation. The company describes itself as a pharmaceutical laboratory working at the meeting point of cosmetics and aesthetic medicine, with the stated mission of bringing "trust, clarity, and scientific rigour to the world of beauty."

The brand is owned by mesoestetic Pharma Group, which remains privately held; in an interview, founder Joan Carles Font described it as "a company with no board of directors, no shareholders, we are the owners" [8]. Mesoestetic traces its beginnings to a pharmacy on Gran Vía in central Barcelona, run by the pharmacist Joan Carles Font. The brand's own account places its founding in 1985, when Font began making his own skin treatments in the back room of the pharmacy [2]. A 2012 Catalan News report instead gives the founding year as 1984 [7]; the company's own materials and its 2025 "40 years" framing both point to 1985.

By the company's telling, the venture grew out of a gap in the market. Aesthetic medicine was only beginning to take shape in Spain in the 1980s, and the doctors practising it felt their needs were going unmet. Font started working with "master formulas" — custom pharmaceutical preparations — and what had begun as a sideline in the pharmacy gradually became the main business.
