Overview
Natüür, which the company itself writes in lower case as natüür, is a German skincare brand based in Munich. It makes what it calls medical skincare for people with chronic skin conditions such as psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, rosacea and eczema [5]. Every product contains NEEMAVERA, a concentrated extract made from the leaves of neem trees grown on a plantation in Paraguay owned by the founder's family. The brand is run by Azadivine GmbH, a young Munich company, and is sold through its own online shop and, since 2026, through German pharmacies.
The brand has no formally stated founding date. Its own history begins in 2013, when the family bought land in Paraguay, while its first product, a care cream, went on sale in 2022 [2]. This article treats the 2022 market launch as the start of the brand and the 2013 land purchase as the origin of the farm behind it.
Origin & founders
Natüür is tied to its founder, Laurenz Vorderwülbecke, whose family owns a neem plantation in Paraguay [7]. The pharmacy trade magazine PTA IN LOVE describes him as the son of the Bavarian investor Martin Vorderwülbecke. The company's own pages refer to him only by his first name.
According to the company, the family bought 22,000 hectares of land in Paraguay in 2013, at first purely as an investment. The purchase soon became a reforestation and climate project, and the family chose the neem tree, Azadirachta indica, because it is evergreen, hardy and able to cope with the region's harsh climate. Natüür describes the site as the largest neem plantation in the world, with more than 200,000 trees on an area roughly two-thirds the size of Munich [2]. The ranking is the company's own description.
The idea for skincare came in 2019. As the company tells it, a close friend of Laurenz was being treated for severe psoriasis. He had just become a father and could not hold his newborn child because his hands were so badly affected. Laurenz later said the moment was about touch and closeness, not only about skin.
Between 2019 and 2020 he began to study neem more systematically. The yearly pruning of the plantation's trees produced tonnes of leaves that would normally be thrown away, and he asked whether their anti-inflammatory compounds could be concentrated into a new kind of skincare. According to PTA IN LOVE, Natüür was then built with both financial and professional support from the wider family [7].
History & milestones
The research phase led to NEEMAVERA, the company's own neem-leaf complex, and in 2022 the first care cream reached the market. The range later grew into two lines. Med Care is aimed at demanding skin that is prone to irritation, while Essentials covers simple daily routines for the body, hair and scalp.
In 2023 the testing company Dermatest ran a study of the brand's care cream on people with psoriasis, which the company cites as evidence for its products (see Science & innovation below).
In September 2025, Andreas Bergmann, previously managing director of Aliud, took charge of the start-up [7]. He is also the managing director named in the company's legal notice. His task was to bring the brand into pharmacies. By September 2026 Natüür had entered the over-the-counter shelves of German pharmacies, and Bergmann said it was already listed with 60 percent of all pharmaceutical wholesalers [7]. At that point he worked from a Munich office with seven colleagues.
Ownership
Natüür is operated by Azadivine GmbH, a limited company registered with the district court in Munich [3]. PTA IN LOVE describes Azadivine as a start-up, and the brand repeatedly presents itself as a family business, which reflects the backing of the Vorderwülbecke family. In September 2026 Bergmann described the company as being in an investment phase.
Philosophy & positioning
Natüür's tagline is "Natürlich. Simpel. Effektiv." — natural, simple, effective. The company sums up its approach as using as much effect as possible with as few ingredients as necessary, and states its mission as offering a natural, transparent alternative for people with chronic disorders of the skin barrier and sensitive skin. It argues that good skincare does not need complicated routines or complex formulas.
In practice this means short ingredient lists. The company says its formulas contain no parabens, silicones or dyes, and PTA IN LOVE adds that the products also leave out polyethylene glycol, microplastics and drying alcohol. The brand describes all of its products as vegan and cruelty-free, although it names no certifying body for the second claim. The Med Care products are fragrance-free; according to Natüür, the herbal scent of freshly cut neem leaves survives the extraction process, so no synthetic perfume is added. The products carry a "very good" rating from Dermatest's skin-tolerance testing, which the brand features prominently.
Natüür stresses control over its whole supply chain, a model it calls "farm-to-formula". It says it buys in no outside leaves, grows seedlings from the seeds of its own trees and dries freshly harvested leaves within two days. The formulas are developed in Munich, and both the extraction and the manufacture of the finished products take place in Germany.
Despite the "medical" label, the company notes that its products are cosmetics and do not replace medical treatment. They are meant to be used alongside therapy. The brand also says its care is recommended by dermatologists, a statement it qualifies by noting that recommendations vary from practice to practice.
The move into pharmacies follows the same logic. Bergmann has argued that customers with skin-barrier problems end up in a pharmacy sooner or later, not least because waiting times for dermatologists are long. The products are promoted in pharmacies and in doctors' practices, pharmacy staff are approached with advertising and free samples, and care services are also targeted.
Products & innovation
The range is small. The company's press page speaks of two lines and ten products [5], while PTA IN LOVE counted eleven products in September 2026 [7]. According to that article, the best sellers at the time were a scalp tonic, a nail balm and the Cream forte.
The core Med Care line centres on creams and balms for very dry, scaly and sensitive skin, including the scalp. The company's own best-seller list names the Cream, the Cream forte, a Skin Balm and a Scalp Oil. Marie Claire Germany described the Med Care Cream as combining NEEMAVERA with panthenol, aloe vera and avocado oil to calm and moisturise the skin [8]. The Essentials line includes a Shampoo, a Body Lotion, a newer After Sun Gel and a Body Wash that pairs the neem complex with aloe vera, panthenol and mild sugar-based cleansing agents for normal to sensitive skin.
The company also bundles its products into condition-focused sets, such as the Pso Kit for psoriasis-prone skin, the Neuro Kit for atopic skin and the Happy Scalp Set.
Science & innovation
NEEMAVERA is made entirely from neem leaves, with no other plant parts and no seed oil. That distinction matters in the neem category. Traditional neem cosmetics mostly used the oil pressed from the tree's seeds, which is heavy and strong-smelling, whereas leaf extract is lighter and less greasy, as Marie Claire Germany noted in a 2026 feature on the ingredient.
To make the complex, Natüür uses supercritical carbon dioxide extraction, a solvent-free method that works at low temperatures. The company says the process concentrates the relevant leaf compounds up to 50 times compared with the dried leaf. The status of the process is described inconsistently by the company itself. Its about page and its NEEMAVERA page call the method patented [2], while its press page describes it as patent-pending [5]. No patent number has been published.
Two studies, both commissioned from Dermatest, form the basis of the company's efficacy claims. The first, from 2022, was a laboratory test on 3D models of full-thickness skin. It looked at skin tolerance and at antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects. The company's own studies page states that these laboratory results are not equivalent to a clinical study in humans [6].
The second, in 2023, was a user study. Twenty people with psoriasis applied the brand's calming care cream once a day for six weeks, alongside their existing treatment. By the participants' own assessment, 80 percent noticed less scaling and 70 percent reported less itching [6]. The published summary describes no control group.
As of September 2026, Bergmann said the company intended to add a medical device to the range in future. The reason he gave was that the cosmetics category restricts how the brand may advertise the effects of its active ingredient.
Recognition
The brand's press coverage has so far been in German-language media. In June 2026 Marie Claire Germany included the Med Care Cream and the Essentials Body Wash in a feature on neem as a trend ingredient, alongside products from several other brands. In September 2026 the pharmacy trade magazine PTA IN LOVE reported on the brand's entry into pharmacies. The company's press page also lists a spring beauty round-up in Luna Mum.
Current status
Natüür is active. Its website shows a 2026 copyright, a newly launched After Sun Gel, a product-matching quiz and a new AI-based skin analysis tool that works from a single photo. The company says it has more than 17,000 customers. Its online shop serves Germany and Austria.
As of September 2026, five new products, including a tinted day cream, were planned for the near future, and the company intended to let online customers choose a local pharmacy for their orders through its web shop.
