Overview
Neuraé is a French skincare brand launched in 2024 by the Sisley Group, the family-owned company behind Sisley Paris [8]. It was the first time Sisley had introduced a standalone brand in its history [9], and it arrived with an unusual premise: that emotions leave visible marks on the skin, and that skincare can be designed to counter them. The company calls the approach neurocosmetics, building its formulas around the idea that the skin and the nervous system are in constant exchange.
The line sits in the prestige segment, though deliberately priced below Sisley's core luxury range [9]. As of 2026 the brand is active, selling across Europe, North America and the United Kingdom and continuing to publish dated editorial content on its website.
Origin and ownership
Neuraé was developed by Sisley Group Laboratories and is presented by the company as the result of more than ten years of research [3]. Sisley itself is a long-established French house, and the new brand marked its first move into launching a separate identity rather than extending the Sisley Paris name. Trade and fashion press treated the launch as a notable shift: Formes de Luxe described Neuraé as "a standalone beauty brand launched by Sisley, a first in the French family-owned company's history" [8], while Business of Fashion reported it as the first time the family-owned company had launched a new brand, positioned below its existing luxury offering [9].
No individual founders are named in the brand's public materials; Neuraé is presented as a corporate Sisley Group project rather than the work of a named entrepreneur. According to the company, the name itself encodes the concept — the Greek root neur- for nerve, and aé standing for "activated by emotions."
Philosophy and positioning
Neuraé's central claim is that emotional states such as stress, fatigue and tension affect how the skin looks, and that skincare can be formulated to address that toll. The company describes itself as "a new skincare brand based on the connection between the skin and emotions," with a stated aim of reducing "the emotional toll of time on our facial features" by targeting skin that appears dull, tired or tense.
To organise the idea, the range is built around emotional typologies, each tied to a visible concern: fatigue to a loss of firmness, sadness to a dull complexion, and stress to wrinkles and facial tension. Products are grouped under named families — harmonie, énergie, joie and sérénité — corresponding to those concerns. The company grounds the framing in neuroscience, noting that the skin and nervous system both arise from the same embryonic layer, the ectoderm, and that chemical messengers known as neuromediators are shared between brain and skin [3].
Products and innovation
The collection is arranged as a multi-step routine spanning cleansers, a treatment lotion, a serum, an oil, creams, a balm, an emulsion and a sleeping mask. Among the signature items are the harmonie Serum, which the company describes as resetting and transformative, and the énergie Cream, which W Magazine noted uses red indigo and seaweed extract for firming results [7]. A distinctive part of the line is the Emotion Boosters — roll-on fragrances offered in variants such as energizing, uplifting and relaxing — which extend the brand partly into fragrance alongside its core skincare.
At the heart of the products is what the company calls N|A3 technology, presented as combining three fields: neuro-ingredients, neuro-fragrances and neuro-textures [8]. The neuro-ingredients include extracts of red indigo, alpine skullcap and eperua, which Neuraé says respectively raise or limit the skin's levels of positive and negative chemical messengers. The serum is described as containing a "unique patent-pending complex" of these ingredients [3].
The company supports its claims with a tiered testing programme. It reports cell tests on a 3D reconstructed epidermis with sensory neurons, skin tests involving 140 participants, and emotion tests with 180 people in what it terms clinical neuroscientific trials, measured through heart rhythm, facial analysis and psychological assessment. On this basis the brand asserts "proven effectiveness against emotional skin aging."
Sustainability
Neuraé states that its formulas contain at least 94% ingredients of natural origin, and that some actives are obtained through CO2 supercritical extraction or cultivated to limit overexploitation, such as algae grown in a photo-bioreactor. On packaging, the company says its cream jars are refillable and its serum dropper is designed for easy disassembly and sorting, with refills in lightweight recyclable plastic and boxes made from at least 40% recycled paper [4]. It also reports assessing its packaging with an industry life-cycle tool known as SPICE. Manufacturing is tied to the wider Sisley Group, whose products the company says are mostly made in France and shipped to more than 110 countries [4].
Recognition
As a 2024 launch, Neuraé drew coverage from beauty and luxury-industry press. W Magazine ran an editorial review in which four of its editors tested the line, describing Sisley Paris as "one of a handful of brands with an almost mystical status" [7]; the editors' verdicts were mixed, with several noting improvements in texture or mood while remaining cautious about the brand's specific claims. Formes de Luxe and Business of Fashion both reported the launch, the former detailing the N|A3 technology and the launch range, including packaging designed by the studio Partisan du Sens.
Current status
Neuraé is active. It launched in 2024 with initial markets that included Canada, the United States, Italy and the United Kingdom, and its website remained live and updated into 2026, carrying a journal article dated March 2026 [6]. The brand sells through multiple channels across Europe and North America under the Sisley Group's distribution.
