Novatop

Novatop is a small German skincare brand based in Erftstadt whose range is built almost entirely around urea creams for dry skin. Its products come in strengths from 2% up to 40% urea, sold under line names such as Dermal, Medical and Azur, alongside a few side ranges for hand care, oral care and feet [3].

The brand trades as NOVATOP Cosmetics and sells through its own German-language webshop. It is also listed by at least one German online pharmacy, which names NOVATOP Cosmetics as the manufacturer and gives the same Erftstadt address as the company [8]. Beyond its product pages, Novatop publishes very little about itself, and its founding date and founders are not publicly documented.

The company's legal notice places NOVATOP Cosmetics at Siemensstraße 25 in Erftstadt, Germany [2]. The same notice identifies an individual as the provider of the business under that trading name. It gives no legal form, no managing director other than that person, and no commercial-register entry.

Who started the brand, and when, is not stated anywhere in public. The website has no "about us" page, no company history, no press section and no news or blog area; its sitemap lists only product categories, legal pages and contact details [5]. As a result, Novatop's background is known mainly through what it sells rather than through any account it gives of itself.

The one dated milestone the company itself records concerns its online shop rather than its products. According to its legal notice, NOVATOP has been a member of the FairCommerce initiative, a trust scheme for online retailers, since 13 October 2015 [2]. The shop also displays a membership badge from the Händlerbund.

Independent traces of the brand go back several years. Customer reviews of its 10% urea cream on a pharmacy retailer's listing are dated February 2022 and August 2024, and both reviewers describe using Novatop products over a long period [8].

Novatop does not publish a mission statement, a list of values or a brand-wide tagline. Its positioning comes through instead in the short slogans attached to each product line.

The Dermal line is headed "Innovative Hautpflege mit Urea - für trockene" — innovative skincare with urea for dry skin — and the company says the products give the skin moisture and elasticity and help counter skin irritation [6]. The stronger Medical line is described by the brand as "Hochwirksame Regeneration der sehr trockenen Haut", which it presents as regeneration for very dry skin [7]. The Firstedition hand creams carry the line "Ihre Hände in guten Händen", or "your hands in good hands".

The shop also sorts its range by skin type rather than by concern alone. Its categories cover normal, sensitive and problem skin, extremely dry skin, and both older and younger skin [4]. Taken together, the slogans and categories point to a narrow, practical focus: everyday care for skin that is dry, rough or easily irritated.

At the time of writing, the webshop listed 35 products across six sub-lines: Dermal, Dental, Medical, Firstedition, Azur and a line of socks [3].

Dermal is the largest of these. It includes creams with 2%, 5% and 10% urea, labelled respectively for normal to sensitive skin, normal to dry skin, and very dry, scaly skin. Sizes run from 30 ml up to 500 ml packs. The line also covers urea foams at 5% and 10%, a 5% urea body lotion, a wash gel, a cleansing and care oil, and a shampoo made with bio-sulfur.

The Medical line takes the urea content higher. It includes a cream with 20% urea for very dry, cracked and scaly skin and a cream with 40% urea, alongside a skin and nail gel and a care balm [7]. Azur sits between the two, with a 15% urea cream that adds evening primrose oil. The Firstedition range consists of a 5% urea hand cream sold in several sizes, including dispenser bottles.

Outside skincare, the Dental line offers a mouthwash and a cream for the corners of the mouth, which the company describes as special care for the mouth and nose area. The range is rounded out by a foot bath with rock salt and calendula, sold under the Wellness name, and "Vitalsocken Silver" socks in several sizes and ankle widths.

No ingredient philosophy, manufacturing location or third-party certifications are documented for the brand. The product names themselves are the main guide to what the formulas contain: urea in most of them, with evening primrose oil, bio-sulfur, rock salt and calendula appearing in individual products.

Novatop is active. Its webshop was operating in October 2026 with priced stock, a working cart and checkout, payment by PayPal, invoice or bank transfer, and shipping by DHL [1]. The brand also maintains a Facebook page.

There is little public activity beyond the shop itself. No dated product launches, news or press coverage have been found, and the most recent dated third-party trace is a customer review from August 2024. The brand's presence appears to be centred on Germany, with no sign of distribution elsewhere.
