Overview
PO:DL is a South Korean skincare brand launched in 2024 and operated by LastSpring Inc., a Seoul-based company registered as 주식회사 라스트스프링. It builds its range around what it calls "Super Food" grain ingredients and positions itself for people with sensitive or reactive skin, summarising the idea in the tagline "High-actives, low irritation".
The brand is young and, as of 2026, active: its official blog publishes several times a week, and its parent reports rapid expansion across export markets. Although the company's own store ships only to the United States and Canada, PO:DL products reach other regions, including the Nordics, through third-party retailers rather than direct sales [6].
Origin & founders
PO:DL is the operating brand of LastSpring Inc., a Korean startup founded in 2024. Business records at the Korean startup database THE VC give the founding date as 26 August 2024; an earlier search snippet had listed April 2024, but the direct company record states August [9]. The company keeps its headquarters in the Gangnam district of Seoul and runs global operations through a US business entity in Flushing, New York.
The company was started by two serial entrepreneurs. Kim Chang-won had previously led the pet e-commerce platform PetFriends, which he exited in 2021, and Hong Yu-ri co-founded the underwear brand marketed as "The Zam" [9]. Reporting reflects a leadership change: a March 2025 article in the Korean outlet GlobalEpic named Hong Yu-ri as chief executive [10], while the brand site and THE VC list Kim Chang-won as the serving CEO and record Hong Yu-ri as a departed co-chief executive [9].
Ownership
PO:DL is wholly owned and operated by LastSpring Inc. The company has raised outside capital rather than changing hands: THE VC records a Series A round of 35 billion KRW and a later bridge round of 2.5 billion KRW in April 2026, with investors including Coupang, GS Retail, Kakao Ventures, SparkLabs and Murex Partners [9].
Philosophy & positioning
The brand frames skincare as a choice it wants to remove. According to PO:DL, conventional products force skin to pick between strong and gentle, or effective and safe, and its stated view is that "the problem was never the ingredients, but how they were delivered". The company sums up its aim as skin that "should feel better the moment it meets the product — and keep getting better after" [2].
That positioning rests on three pillars the company names Buffered Actives, Sensory Standard™ and Precision by Design [2]. The Korean review platform Hwahae, which describes PO:DL as a contemporary K-beauty brand focused on sensitive skin, attributes to it a "superfood-coated active technology" and a "collagen micro-bubble technology" [8].
Products & innovation
PO:DL sells cleansers, serums, masks, toners and moisturisers. Its catalogue is organised around four grain-derived "Super Food" ingredients: Korean chestnut, which the brand calls the "Royal Chestnut," Jeju-grown green barley, oat and red bean. Signature items include the Collagen Bubble Serum, the chestnut Balm-to-Foam cleanser, the Collagen Hyaluronic Hydrogel Mask and the Barley Hyaluronic Essence Toner Pad. A hydrogel product referred to as the TGG Pack sold 690,000 units within a month of its release, according to THE VC [9].
On formulation, the company says almost all of its products are vegan and that its range is certified cruelty-free and not tested on animals; it adds that all PO:DL skincare is free from artificial fragrances, while noting that not every product is entirely fragrance-free [6].
Recognition
LastSpring received a Korean venture company certification in 2025, a government designation for technology-oriented firms [10]. The company has also been selected for the government-backed TIPS Global Track program, which provides up to 1.2 billion KRW in research and development funding over three years [9].
Current status
PO:DL is active. The most recent post on its blog is dated May 2026, and the site has been publishing new articles regularly. THE VC reports that the company employs roughly 22 to 23 people and exported to 20 countries within three months as of April 2026 [9]. Because the brand's own store ships only to the United States and Canada, its availability elsewhere depends on local retailers.
