Overview
Posh, presented as Posh Extrait, is an Italian niche fragrance brand founded in 2025 by Cristina Medri [3][1]. Based around Milan, it debuted at the city's Esxence trade fair in February 2025 with a collection of seven extrait de parfums conceived as a collectible "fragrance library" [3].
The brand is young and single-market: after its Esxence launch it went on sale online and through an Italian distributor in April 2025, and it has been looking for a European distributor to expand beyond Italy. Each scent is produced entirely in Italy.
Origin and concept
According to the company, Posh Extrait began as an olfactory project by its founder, Cristina Medri, with the stated aim of building "a veritable olfactory library" [1]. The debut range comprises seven fragrances, a number Medri says was chosen as a symbol of completeness and one of personal significance to her [1].
Rather than giving the scents names, the brand identifies each by a number — Numero 1 through Numero 7. Posh describes this as a deliberate invitation to the wearer: the fragrances, it says, "do not impose an identity, but suggest it," leaving room for each person to attach their own meaning and memory [1]. The compositions are also built for layering, and each is sold with a suggested pairing so wearers can combine scents into what the brand calls a personal "olfactory outfit".
Products
Each fragrance in the line is an extrait de parfum, sold in 100 ml bottles and accompanied by a 2 ml sample of another scent to introduce the practice of layering; a discovery kit of all seven in 2 ml format is also offered.
The seven scents span a range of styles. Numero 1 combines sea salt and aquatic notes with jasmine, caramel, vanilla and tonka bean; Numero 4 blends black cherry, rose and vanilla; and Numero 7 pairs bergamot, violet and a leather accord with mineral notes [3]. Fragrantica, which lists the full range, characterises the line as modern compositions built around personal expression and scent layering.
The fragrances were developed with the Italian fragrance house CFF (Creative Flavours and Fragrances) [3]. The brand and Fragrantica additionally credit perfumer Cristian Calabrò with the compositions [1][4]; the trade publication Formes de Luxe names only the house CFF and does not identify an individual perfumer [3].
Design and manufacturing
All of the fragrances and their packaging are made in Italy [3]. The screenprinted bottles carry the brand name on the front and the fragrance number on the side, finished with spherical resin caps supplied by Erre Plast. The pump is removable so it can be recycled, and the outer packaging uses single-material printed paper.
Current status
Posh Extrait is active. It launched commercially in 2025 and maintains a public social presence, including an Instagram account under the handle @posh_extrait. As a recent entrant to niche perfumery, its distribution remains centred on Italy while it seeks partners to reach the wider European market [3].
