Real Barrier grew out of Neopharm's broader work on the skin barrier rather than as a standalone start-up. Neopharm itself was established in 2000, the same year it launched ATOPALM, its sensitive-skin brand [2]. According to the retailer Skin Seoul, Real Barrier was founded by Dr. Raymond Park and emerged from more than two decades of dermatological research that began with a treatment for his newborn son's atopic dermatitis [8]. Its signature products include the Extreme Cream, the Aqua Soothing Ampoule and the Intense Moisture Cream, alongside broader lines marketed as Cicarelief for calming and Active-V for firming. The Extreme Cream is the most frequently cited product; K-beauty coverage describes it as a barrier-repair cream built on a patented ceramide complex marketed as Omega-Ceramide-16 and claimed to keep skin hydrated for 72 hours [10]. It is often recommended for skin recovering from procedures such as laser treatment or retinol irritation.
