Overview
Seasonly is a French skincare company founded in Paris in 2018 [1]. It was created by Fany Péchiodat, who had earlier co-founded the media company My Little Paris and previously worked at L'Oréal [6]. The brand builds its range around clean, vegan formulas paired with facial self-massage routines, and sells both online and through its own network of studios in France.
Péchiodat started My Little Paris in 2008 as a newsletter sent to fifty friends, later selling a portion of the company to the media group Au Féminin, and left in 2017 to build Seasonly [6]. At launch the concept centred on personalisation: an algorithm generated a skincare treatment from a short questionnaire, and subscribers received a 30 ml bottle, personalised with their own name, every two months, with a seasonal ingredient variant [6].
Philosophy & positioning
Seasonly positions itself around what it calls clean, vegan and natural skincare. The company says it does not use ready-made catalogue formulas, stating that "we do not draw from laboratory catalogs already created formulas on which to affix our logo. We create our formulas from scratch" [2]. It frames its products against the idea of daily chemical exposure, arguing that consumers apply roughly 150 ingredients to their skin each day and offering "control of this exposure with clean products, formulated without controversial ingredients" [2].
Central to the brand's approach is a method it terms "Skin Building," which it describes as stimulating the skin's own mechanisms and muscle tone to act "from muscle to skin" rather than treating the surface alone. Products are paired with self-massage programmes accessed through QR codes on the packaging, and the brand's in-studio facials combine Kobido massage, lymphatic drainage and a technique it markets as Face Sculpting.
Products & innovation
The range covers cleansers, eye care, serums, oils, creams, masks and facial tools. Its signature line is TensioLift, which includes a serum, day cream and oil, alongside products such as an anti-fatigue eye serum and a night oil. According to Seasonly, its formulas combine clinically studied actives — among them hyaluronic acid, panthenol, vitamin C, niacinamide, bakuchiol and AHAs — with plant ingredients such as rosehip, jojoba and avocado oil [2].
The company publishes a "No-List" of ingredients it excludes from its formulas, last updated in December 2021, covering mineral oils and petroleum derivatives, silicones, parabens, sulfates, EDTA, PEGs, phthalates, and animal-derived ingredients, among others [3].
Sources differ on how "natural" the formulas are. The brand's current site states that all products contain at least 95% ingredients of natural origin [2], while a 2018 trade-press article reporting the launch described the treatments as made from 97% natural ingredients [6]; the earlier figure appears to reflect the initial launch formula rather than the range as it is described today.
Sustainability
Seasonly says its products are manufactured in France and that it uses FSC-certified recycled and recyclable secondary packaging [2]. The company also lists plastic-reduction measures and a refill system said to be in development. No third-party certifications such as Ecocert, Cosmos or Leaping Bunny are cited on its ingredient page.
