Summary

Overview

Seboradin is a Polish hair- and scalp-care brand based in Poznań, active on the market since 1978 [3]. It specialises in treatment-oriented products for hair loss, thinning, dandruff and scalp complaints, sold mainly through pharmacies and drugstores. The range is built around plant-derived formulas and developed, according to the company, in cooperation with dermatologists and trichologists — specialists in scalp and hair conditions.

The brand grew out of the Poznań cosmetics enterprise Inter-Fragrances and has stayed within the same family across three generations. Its original owning company went bankrupt in 2017, but the Seboradin name continued without interruption under a successor firm run by the founder's grandson [3].

Origin and founders

Seboradin traces its founding to 20 December 1978, when Ignacy Zenon Soszyński established the cosmetics enterprise Inter-Fragrances in Poznań [3]. Polish Wikipedia records the firm as the first of its kind in the city and describes it as a Polish-diaspora venture with foreign-capital participation; it was initially registered under the longer name Zakłady Produktów Aromatycznych i Kosmetycznych Inter-Fragrances-Reunis and began trading on 1 January 1980, first operating from the Bazar Poznański hotel [3].

In its early decades the company carried a broad catalogue spanning food, cosmetics and household goods. Over time it became known specifically for hair- and scalp-treatment preparations sold under the Seboradin brand [3]. Management passed down the founding family: from Soszyński to his children Sylwia Pawluśkiewicz and Wojciech Soszyński, and from 2000 to his grandson Filip Pawluśkiewicz and Filip's wife Edyta [3].

Ownership

The company that originally produced Seboradin, Inter-Fragrances Sp. z o.o., was declared bankrupt on 26 May 2017 [3]. The brand itself survived. It is now produced by a successor entity, Edyta Pawluśkiewicz LARA Sp. z o.o. [8], which retailers also list under the retained "Inter Fragrances" naming and which filed the trademark "IF INTER FRAGRANCES SEBORADIN" in July 2021 [9]. According to the company, the current owners continue the traditions of the Inter-Fragrances firm founded by Filip Pawluśkiewicz's grandfather. Sources describe the current producer with two labels depending on the record: the original founding company, Inter-Fragrances Sp. z o.o. [3], and the present operator, Edyta Pawluśkiewicz LARA Sp. z o.o. [8], reflecting the change of legal entity after the 2017 bankruptcy rather than a change of family control.

Philosophy and positioning

Seboradin positions itself as a professional hair- and body-cosmetics maker, with an emphasis on efficacy and safety of use. The company frames its products around trichology, the narrow field concerned with treating the scalp, and says its formulas are developed with dermatologists and trichologists and confirmed in clinical studies. Its stated goal is to create nature-inspired hair cosmetics, and retailers carrying the brand's official copy describe formulations built mainly on natural plant extracts. The typical audience is people managing hair loss, thinning, dandruff and other scalp problems.

Products

The Seboradin range covers shampoos, conditioners and balms, masks, scalp rubs, concentrated ampoules, lotions and dietary supplements. Named product lines include Seboradin Forte, an intensive anti-hair-loss treatment; FitoCell, a plant stem-cell line; Sensitive, aimed at atopic or sensitive scalps; an Oily Hair line; and an ANTI-DANDRUFF serum. Among the ingredients cited by pharmacy pages carrying the brand's copy are ginseng root extract, glycerin and hot-pepper (capsicum) fruit extract.

Recognition

In 2024 the brand received the "Lider Jakości Konsumentów" (Consumer Quality Leader) distinction in the category of pharmacy products against hair loss, and its ANTI-DANDRUFF serum won a "Debiut Roku" (Debut of the Year) award for anti-dandruff cosmetics [2]. The same year, the Poznań city business press featured Edyta Pawluśkiewicz of LARA as a local entrepreneurship leader [10].

Current status

Seboradin is an active brand. It is produced and sold across Polish pharmacies and drugstores, maintains a direct-to-consumer website and an Instagram account, and its most recent visible activity is the pair of 2024 industry awards [2]. Its operations are centred on the Polish market, though the brand also appears in some Nordic retail. The 2017 bankruptcy affected the original owning company; the Seboradin brand continued under the founder's descendants.
