Overview
sen7 is a German accessory brand that makes refillable fragrance atomizers — small, pocket-sized pumps that let a wearer decant perfume from its original bottle and carry it in a purse or carry-on. The product launched in July 2010 as a line of Max Time GmbH, a company based in Straubenhardt in south-western Germany [15][2]. Rather than selling perfume itself, sen7 sells the vessel: a reusable metal case designed to be refilled again and again from a full-size bottle.
The company frames the atomizer less as a container than as an everyday design object. Its tagline is "Fragrance experience – without limits," and its marketing describes the device as a "soul buddy" meant to travel with the wearer. The brand remains active, with a working webshop and continued stock at large European retailers, though its own website carries little recent editorial activity.
⚑ Thinner sourcing. The article relies largely on the brand's own statements (T2–T3). Glowpedia is seeking independent sources.
Origin
sen7 was introduced by Max Time GmbH, and the launch was announced in a July 2010 trade press release republished by the German beauty portal Pinkmelon [15]. The stated idea behind the product was that perfume should not be confined to the bottle at home: the goal, according to the company, was a mobile atomizer that would work as "a stylish and lovable design object one likes to carry," not merely a spray head on a small tank [15]. At launch the atomizer was distributed through specialist perfumeries and concept stores including Quartier 206 in Berlin, Galeries Lafayette and the Desiary Identity Store [15].
No founder or designer is named in the available sources. Max Time GmbH lists Karl Alexander Kähler as its managing director in the company's legal imprint, but the sources do not connect any individual to the creation or design of the product [2].
Ownership
sen7 is a registered trademark of Max Time GmbH, a privately held company registered at the district court of Mannheim and based at Rotenbachstraße 4 in Straubenhardt [2]. The imprint identifies it as an independent firm rather than part of a larger beauty group. No acquisitions or ownership changes appear in the sources.
Products
The range centres on the refillable atomizer, offered in several tiers. The entry-level sen7 fiZZ uses what the company calls an "easyfill" system; the sen7 twist is a lockable version in anodized aluminium; sen7 original is sold in variant collections including classic, color, rubber, special edition and a zodiac series; and sen7 style comes in a solid metal case with a 7.5 ml capacity. A fabric "smart pouch" is sold as an accessory.
The atomizers are filled by pumping the case directly onto a perfume bottle. In a 2015 review, Bustle described removing the spray head from the perfume bottle and pumping the atomizer up and down to draw fragrance in, noting it "only took about five pumps to get a decent amount" [13]. The company says its designs use a protected spray nozzle and a patented security valve, and the products are marked "Made in Germany" [14]. sen7 also emphasises that the cases hold under the volume allowed in aircraft cabins, positioning them for travel.
Recognition
sen7 received a Red Dot Design Award for the sen7 twist atomizer in the product-design category [16]. In its 2015 review, Bustle praised the atomizer's compact size, its compliance with cabin liquid limits and its range of colours and finishes, while noting that the filling instructions were not intuitive at first [13].
Current status
The brand is active. As of mid-2026 the webshop was operational, the product catalogue intact and the retailer locator maintained, with stock reported at department stores and perfumery chains across Europe. The website's copyright notices are dated 2010 on the English site and 2014 on the German site, and no news, blog or social feed is visible from the company's pages — signs of a low marketing tempo rather than closure. Beyond Europe, the brand lists distribution reaching markets including Japan, Australia and several others.
