Summary

Overview

Sister Young is a Polish beauty-accessories brand based in Rzeszów, in the south-east of the country. It makes tools for hair and body care — brushes, combs, exfoliating gloves and konjac sponges — rather than cosmetics or skincare formulas. The name is a translation of the Polish phrase for "your younger sister," and the company frames the brand as an everyday helper women can rely on.

The brand's own about pages date its launch to 2023, when it started out focused on hair-care accessories [3]. One business-database summary lists the founding year as 2022 [10]; the company's own pages consistently give 2023, and that is the date it uses to describe itself.

Thinner sourcing. The article relies largely on the brand's own statements (T2–T3). Glowpedia is seeking independent sources.

Origin

According to Sister Young, the brand grew out of listening to customers describe their day-to-day frustrations with combing, drying and styling their hair, and then building tools to address them [3]. The early range centred on brushes offered with either boar bristles or nylon pins, aimed at both dry and wet hair [3]. The company says it later widened its scope from hair into body care, adding accessories built around daily self-care routines.

Products

The line is organised into several named brush series, including the Ovia curved, ventilated brushes [7], the compact Mila pocket hairbrushes [8], and the Vera Wood brushes, which pair boar bristles with a wooden handle [9]. Alongside the brushes sit combs, scalp-massage brushes, hair accessories, exfoliating gloves, reusable cosmetic pads, body-massage brushes and konjac sponges [3].

A recurring theme in how the company presents the range is compactness. On its English site, Sister Young says all its products share this trait, so that they "lie perfectly in the hands of professionals and at the same time always find their place in customers' handbags." The site does not claim vegan, cruelty-free or other formal certifications; the closest it comes to a sustainability angle is describing its reusable cosmetic pads and konjac sponges as natural options.

Philosophy & positioning

Sister Young positions itself as a dependable, practical companion for women's everyday grooming, spanning both hair and body. Its stated idea is that using the right tools to care for yourself is a way of choosing yourself — summarised on the site as "by choosing us, you are choosing yourself." The brand uses the tagline "The Source for Everyday Care for Your Hair."

The products are sold through cosmetics retailers, and the company says it has also been building salon partnerships across Europe [3]. In the Nordic region, the range is carried by the Finnish retailer makeupstore.com, which lists several of the brush series.

Ownership

The brand is operated by Sister Young Sp. z o.o., a limited company registered at the same Rzeszów address as the brand's headquarters [6]. No founders are named on the company's public pages.

Current status

Sister Young is active. At the time its sources were reviewed in 2026, the company was running a working online shop and blog, promoting free shipping over a set order value, and its products were listed by at least one Nordic retailer. As a small, recently founded indie brand, it has no Wikipedia entry or independent editorial coverage.
