Smuuk Skin is a Danish beauty brand that sells "inner skincare" — ingestible beauty supplements in tablet form alongside a small range of facial oils. It launched in 2019, when Danish edition of ELLE introduced it as "Denmark's new beauty series" focused on beauty from within [1]. The company is based in Stege on the island of Møn, where its products are also manufactured, and it remains active, with a live webshop and current catalogue as of 2026 [2].

The brand sits within the "beauty-from-within" category, where nutrition and skincare overlap. Its central idea, summarised in the recurring line "Skønhed = Sundhed" ("Beauty = Health"), is that the skin can be supported from the inside through documented doses of vitamins, minerals and other nutrients.

Smuuk Skin was created by JemoPharm, a Danish supplement manufacturer that the company describes as having more than 30 years of experience developing vitamins and minerals [2]. According to a 2019 assessment by the Danish beauty publication Beautyspace, the team behind Smuuk Skin had earlier been part of the group that developed Imedeen, a long-established Scandinavian beauty-from-within supplement [3]. The same article, which surveyed collagen supplements with dermatologist Peter Bjerring, noted that Smuuk Skin's tablets contain collagen peptides drawn from both cattle and marine sources [3].

The brand does not publicly name individual founders. Its "about" page instead lists company personnel, including a chief executive and a scientific adviser with backgrounds in nutrients and pharmaceutical development.

Smuuk Skin operates under Jemo Holding Stege ApS, registered in Stege, Denmark [2]. Manufacturing takes place in the same location, at JemoPharm's facility on Møn, and the company states that its products are "100% Danish" and produced under pharmaceutical control.

The company frames beauty and health as two sides of the same thing, and positions its products as cosmeceuticals rather than conventional topical cosmetics. On its own site it states an ambition to become women's preferred choice within that category. Smuuk Skin emphasises what it calls documented effect: it says its formulas are built on scientific research, with vitamin and mineral amounts calibrated to clinically documented doses, and describes them as free from what it terms "lazy ingredients." The stated audience is women who have made naturalism and inner-skincare routines part of their daily lives.

Because its products are chiefly oral supplements plus a few topical facial oils, Smuuk Skin does not map cleanly onto standard cosmetics categories; it is best understood as an ingestible beauty-supplement line with a small topical component.

At launch the range comprised seven items — a set of beauty tablets and facial oils. Early products included HairBooster, HydroBalance, SunPrepare, PureSkin and YouthOptimizer, alongside oil complexes [1]. The current catalogue continues in the same vein, with tablet products such as HairBooster, SunPrepare and YouthOptimizer, and a topical PureSkin Oil Complex.

The flagship tablet, YouthOptimizer, is built around what the company calls a "Triple ActionFormula" combining three ingredients it describes as skin-building: marine collagen, hyaluronic acid and ceramides. The brand says these are intended to support collagen formation, skin elasticity and moisture. Recurring ingredients across the range include astaxanthin, zinc, biotin, turmeric extract and watercress extract. Smuuk Skin states that its products contain no parabens, sulfates or harmful dyes and are not tested on animals.

At its 2019 launch the brand was featured by ELLE Denmark and endorsed by lifestyle blogger Emily Salomon, who singled out HydroBalance [1]. It was also discussed in the Beautyspace collagen-supplement review the same year [3]. The brand's own press page displays clippings from several Danish titles, though without accompanying article text.

Smuuk Skin is sold through a multi-channel Danish network rather than internationally. Its products are stocked by the Magasin department store in Copenhagen, by more than twenty pharmacies across Denmark, and by cosmetologists and beauty salons, as well as through online retailers including Nicehair.dk, Magasin.dk and several webshops [2].
