Overview
Street Origins is a Dubai-based fragrance brand launched in late 2025 as a sub-brand of the United Arab Emirates group Fragrance World [7]. Conceived by Safeer Moidu, Joint CEO of Fragrance World, it debuted with a catalogue of 40 city-themed, gender-neutral perfumes and is positioned as an accessibly priced alternative to traditional luxury houses [8].
The brand rolled out through a coordinated regional press campaign across the UAE and Saudi Arabia. Sources place the launch within a distribution window that opened on 31 October 2025, when Gulf News first reported it [7]; a later sponsored placement in Khaleej Times ran on 7 November 2025 [6]. It sells direct-to-consumer through its own storefronts and is stocked by several international retailers.
Origin & founders
Street Origins was created by Safeer Moidu, Joint CEO of Fragrance World, and is described by retailers and the company as the group's third house, following the parent label and its 2012 sister brand French Avenue. Development ran through French Avenue, which Fragrance World treats as its creative and innovation arm.
The brand's own US storefront frames its story through a sequence of cultural "eras" — an underground breakout of graffiti and block parties, a culture era, a crew era, and a legacy era — presenting the line as rooted in urban street culture rather than conventional perfumery.
Ownership
Street Origins is owned by Fragrance World, a UAE fragrance group founded in 1988 as a trading company and pivoted to fragrance manufacturing in 2003 under founder Poland Moosa Haji [5]. Retailer listings describe Street Origins plainly as "a sub-brand of Fragrance World" [1], and the parent's own site lists three houses under the group: Fragrance World, French Avenue and Street Origins.
Sources differ on the brand's country of origin. Multiple regional outlets and Fragrance World's group context identify it as a Dubai-based, UAE brand [7][10]. Its US storefront instead names a corporate entity, PMH Fragrance Solutions INC, at a Newark, Delaware address [2]; the initials PMH match founder Poland Moosa Haji, and the US entity functions as a distribution subsidiary rather than the brand's origin.
Philosophy & positioning
Street Origins describes its concept as a "Street Renaissance" — in its words, "a reinvention of perfume where urban luxury blends with creative rebellion." The line draws on global city culture, citing inspiration "from Berlin to New York, from Bangkok to Ibiza," and markets itself on individuality, community and self-expression. Its tagline reads "Smell loud. Live bold. Break rules. Own the street. Repeat."
At launch, Safeer Moidu framed the brand as "a creative rebellion, a return to originality in a market that's become too comfortable with imitation" [8]. The company positions the fragrances as gender-neutral and long-lasting, and says originality and quality "can coexist without the heavy price tag associated with traditional luxury houses." Pricing sits in an indie tier, with the two collections listed at roughly 40 to 50 euros.
Products & innovation
The debut range comprises 40 perfumes split into two collections: an Origins range of 26 everyday signatures at 25% fragrance-oil concentration, and an Icon range of 14 limited-edition releases at an extrait-level 35% concentration [7]. Each scent is named for a city — releases include Bangkok Bang, Hot Drip Dubai, Cape Town Dream, Berlin Bash and Amsterdam Blaze — and the brand highlights six of these as its "Most Loved" fragrances. Characteristic notes cited by retailers include modern woods, clean musk, urban amber and vibrant spices.
Formulation was handled through French Avenue in collaboration with perfumers from the fragrance houses Givaudan and IFF, including Jordi Fernández, Jean-Christophe Hérault, Pascal Gaurin and Shinichiro Oba [6]. Street Origins also labels its products vegan and cruelty-free on its US storefront [2].
Current status
Street Origins is active. As a 2025 launch it has no Wikipedia entry, which is expected for a brand only months old. Its catalogue is visible across its own direct-to-consumer sites and third-party retailers in markets including the USA, UK, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Italy and Poland, and it is listed on the fragrance database Fragrantica with its 2025 releases [11]. The Spanish retailer Perfume Oriental carries the line into Finland.
