Overview
Vallesy is a Swedish self-tanning brand that pairs sunless-tan formulas with skincare ingredients. Founded by Victoria Wallblom, it describes itself as a "Self Tan & Glow" brand and builds its range around ectoin, an ingredient better known from moisturisers and sensitive-skin care than from tanning products. The line covers mousses, drops, a mist, a body lotion and a tinted face gel, along with application tools and gift sets.
The brand is small and its public footprint is recent. Its earliest dated content is from June 2025, and it is currently sold through its own webshop and an online pharmacy retailer. No editorial coverage, awards or third-party certifications are documented.
Origin & founders
Vallesy was created by Victoria Wallblom, who runs it together with what the company calls "Team Vallesy", a group it describes as experienced in the beauty industry [2]. According to the brand, Wallblom grew up in a beauty environment where quality, ease of use and the customer's needs were always central. The company presents that background as the source of its approach: products meant to be simple to use and suited to a busy, modern life.
In a quote published on the brand's site, Wallblom says that what she took from that upbringing was the value of products that are not too complicated. She adds that the feeling on the skin matters to her as much as the result in the mirror, and that women should be able to look good without it demanding too much of them.
The brand trades through the Swedish limited company Vallesy Products AB, the name printed in the footer of its website. The Swedish company register lists Vallesy Products AB as a trader in beauty products, with Victoria Wallblom, registered under the first name Lesley, as managing director [8]. The online pharmacy Apotea, which stocks the range, prints the manufacturer's name differently, as "Lesley Products AB", at the same street address [7]. The two names appear to refer to the same business; the register and the brand's own site both use Vallesy Products AB.
Philosophy & positioning
Vallesy frames its identity around the tagline "Beauty for Generations", which the company says is "more than our slogan" and the core of everything it does. The idea, as the brand explains it, is to build something long-term: beauty that feels inclusive and timeless, and products that become a natural, trusted part of everyday routines.
The company names quality, innovation and long-term thinking as its shared values. It describes a vision of products that combine "a sense of luxury" with visible results, and says it puts weight on texture, scent, design and the overall experience of use rather than results alone. A pared-back aesthetic and a neutral colour palette run through its visual identity, which the brand links to its belief in simplicity and design that lasts.
The positioning rests on a single idea: that self-tanning can double as skincare. The brand's own banner line puts it as self tan meeting skincare, with a tan produced without sun and supported by ectoin. Apotea's brand page repeats this ingredient-led framing and adds a reference to a "timeless Scandinavian design philosophy".
Products & innovation
The core range consists of six self-tanning products:
- Quick Fix Self Tan Mousse, in Light/Medium and Medium/Dark shades - Gradual Self Tan Drops - On The Go Face & Body Self Tan Mist - Gradual Self Tan Body Hydrator, a lotion - Tinted Self Tan Face Gel
Two tools, the Face & Body Brush and the Effortless Self Tan Mitt, complete the line. The webshop also sells bundles, some named after collaborators, such as Idas Tan Duo and Nicoline's Glow Trio. Apotea lists eight Vallesy items, covering the full tanning range and both tools [7].
The colour in the products comes from DHA, the ingredient that, in the company's words, gives the skin its sun-kissed tone. Vallesy describes its DHA as natural and derived from plant-based sugars [4], and says the result is an even colour achieved without UV exposure. Product descriptions on Apotea add that the mousse contains hyaluronic acid, glycerin and vitamin E.
The distinguishing ingredient is ectoin, which the company says is used across its entire sunless-tanning line. The brand describes ectoin as an amino acid that provides long-lasting hydration that strengthens the skin barrier, suited to sensitive, dry or stressed skin, and credits it with protecting skin cells against environmental stress. According to Vallesy, its ectoin is made by fermentation, is of 100 per cent natural origin, and was first discovered by German researchers in 1986 in extreme environments. The brand's ectoin page refers to the ingredient's "documented safety" and "proven effect" but cites no studies or clinical tests [3].
Vallesy says its products are made in Sweden, vegan and cruelty-free [2]. No certifying body is named for the cruelty-free claim. The company also states that all its products are free of parabens. Most of the range is lightly fragranced; the Tinted Self Tan Face Gel is the exception, sold without added perfume and described as dermatologically tested.
History & milestones
The brand's dated public history is short. The earliest posts on its blog appeared on 16 June 2025: one on getting a tan without UV exposure and a guide to choosing between mousse and lotion formats [6]. A post explaining ectoin followed on 7 April 2026, when the company described the whole sunless-tanning line as formulated with the ingredient. In August 2026 the blog added a step-by-step guide to achieving an even self-tan result.
Current status
Vallesy is active. Its most recent visible activity is a blog post dated 19 August 2026, and its webshop remains live with current products and offers [6]. Distribution is regional rather than international: according to its FAQ, the company currently delivers to four Nordic countries, and its webshop runs in Swedish, Danish, Norwegian and Finnish [4]. Apart from its own shop, the range is carried by Apotea. The brand also says it is open to working with new resellers.
