Summary

Overview

VIANEK is a Polish natural-cosmetics brand built around herbal ingredients drawn from Polish flora. It is a house brand of Sylveco sp. z o.o., a family-owned natural-skincare company based in Łąka, in south-eastern Poland [4]. The range is positioned for the mass market and, according to the maker, is aimed at women of all ages with a variety of skincare needs.

The brand is one of several skincare lines produced by Sylveco, which also makes Aloesove, Biolaven, Duetus, Rosadia, Zielko and its namesake Sylveco line. VIANEK remains active: it is sold through its own Polish webstore alongside third-party marketplaces, keeps active social channels, and the maker has said further VIANEK products were in development [8].

Origin and ownership

VIANEK has no separately documented launch year of its own; its history is that of its producer, Sylveco. The company was founded in 1992 by Stanisław Piela, whose early work centred on isolating betulin, a compound extracted from the white inner layer of birch bark [8]. That birch extract became the distinguishing ingredient in the company's birch cream, which was initially registered as a medical device. After Piela's death in 2006, his son Radosław Piela took over the business and has run it since [8].

Sylveco's own English-language corporate site dates the company's rapid growth to 2008, describing it as "fast-growing since 2008" [4]. This refers to a later expansion phase rather than the founding; the 1992 date, given in an interview with the company on the Polish portal ekologia.pl, reflects when Sylveco itself was established [8].

Philosophy and positioning

VIANEK describes its cosmetics as created "with conscious skincare in mind," emphasising carefully selected natural ingredients inspired by the richness of Polish flora [1]. The brand frames itself around transparency and clear ingredient lists, and positions its products as natural cosmetics for the mass market. Its Polish tagline, "Vianek – Polski z natury" ("Vianek – Polish by Nature"), reflects that domestic identity.

The parent company presents a broader ethics stance that governs its brands, including VIANEK. Sylveco says its products use plant extracts in a hypoallergenic, paraben-free formula, and states a commitment to zero toxic-waste pollution and no animal testing [4]. It also says its ingredients are approved for use in Poland and the EU, and that it conducts its own research, development and testing.

Products

VIANEK spans skincare, haircare and body care, organised into several product lines aimed at different skin types [5]. On its international presentation, Sylveco describes six ranges with, in its words, "natural Polish herbal ingredients" and "energizing fruity scents" [6]. On the Polish site the range is grouped into named collections, including a classic colour-coded series, a prebiotic line built around microbiome-balancing formulas, an active-ingredient HERO line, and a fragrance-led Essence line.

Birch-derived betulin, central to Sylveco's origins, recurs in VIANEK product names such as its birch moisturising cream. The company notes that even the packaging draws on folk art, with illustrations inspired by Zalipie, a Polish village known for its painted houses [6].

Distribution

In Poland, VIANEK is sold through the Sylveco-operated webstore vianek.pl and is described as widely available both online and in physical shops, including drugstores, pharmacies, ecological shops and large retail chains [3]. It is also carried on Polish online marketplaces such as Allegro, Empik and Erli. Beyond Poland, the brand reaches Nordic markets through export via foreign retailers.
