YOU Cosmetics

YOU Cosmetics is a Spanish cosmetics and accessories company based in Gavá, near Barcelona. It describes itself as a business dedicated to developing perfumery and cosmetics products at the lowest possible price, and it works largely as a private-label manufacturer, producing goods that reach shoppers under other companies' names. Its best-known output is the nail polish it makes for the Spanish supermarket chain Mercadona's Deliplus line [5].

The company dates its founding to 2005 [2]; a 2025 regional-news feature instead gives the year 2000 [5], which corresponds to the point at which YOU Cosmetics became a Mercadona supplier rather than to its incorporation. Its roots reach back further still, to a hand-made brush workshop started by founder Marta Juanmiquel in 1992.

YOU Cosmetics grew out of that early brush business. According to the company, it was founded by professionals with more than 35 years of combined experience in the sector, and the make-up brush remained central to its identity as the range widened. Marta Juanmiquel is named on the company's own account as the founder [2]. From brushes, the business moved into adjacent categories: hair accessories, make-up bags and, later, nail polish.

The company traces a steady expansion across three decades. Juanmiquel's brush workshop in 1992 laid the groundwork; by 2000 the business was supplying beauty products to Mercadona, and YOU Cosmetics S.L. was formally established in 2005 [2]. In 2008 it opened a manufacturing factory in China, then added hair accessories in 2009 and nail polish in 2012. By 2018 the company reported reaching more than 1,600 stores, with new collections issued monthly [2].

The core range covers brushes, nail polish, hair accessories and make-up bags. Its most visible product is the Deliplus nail polish line it manufactures for Mercadona, described in Spanish regional press as one of the standout items in that retailer's cosmetics section [5]. A limited-edition nail polish range called Natura, made with natural-origin ingredients, has also been noted [5].

Much of the business runs on private label: YOU Cosmetics offers to develop cosmetics and accessories that clients sell under their own brands, handling formulation, packaging, point-of-sale materials and regulatory work. Alongside Mercadona, its private-label page lists clients including Agatha Ruiz de la Prada, Miss Pink and Miss Ireland [3]. The company frames its positioning around price and constant novelty, stating that satisfying the customer is its first priority and that it aims to offer "the best products at the best prices" [1]. It lists innovation, creativity, quality, improvement and passion among its stated values [1], adding responsibility and honesty on its private-label materials [3].

YOU Cosmetics produces goods across facilities in both Spain and China, and states that the manufacturing method and quality of raw materials are the same in each. Its colour lines are developed at its Gavá headquarters, from packaging design through to the name and image of each collection [2]. The company also says its packaging is carried out at facilities that integrate people with functional diversity, employing more than 75 people, in a collaboration it describes as spanning more than ten years [2].

Third-party coverage is limited. The most substantial is a May 2025 feature in the regional outlet El Español (Metrópoli Abierta), which profiled the Gavá company behind one of Mercadona's star cosmetics products and confirmed it as one of the supermarket's principal beauty suppliers, with monthly production supplying more than 1,600 stores [5].

YOU Cosmetics remains an active manufacturer. The May 2025 regional feature describes it as a current Mercadona supplier, and its website continues to be maintained. Its own consumer-facing English-language blog, however, has not been updated since January 2020, so the company's visible activity now runs mainly through its supply relationships and third-party coverage rather than its own publishing.
