Overview
Zensi is a Danish men's skincare and grooming brand based in Hvidovre, near Copenhagen. It was created by the Danish rapper Oliver Kesi, who lends his name to the label, often styled "Zensi by Oliver Kesi." The brand covers skincare, hair styling and fragrance, and positions itself around a single idea: making grooming simple for men who find it confusing. It remains active, selling a full range through its own webshop and a spread of Danish retailers.

Origin & founders
Zensi was founded by Oliver Kesi, a Danish rapper, who has said he saw a gap in the market for men who wanted to look "fresh and aesthetically nice" without needing to understand dermatology [5]. In interviews he framed the choice as a reaction against two extremes: the heavily masculine, "Jack Daniels-coloured" packaging typical of men's products, and women's ranges he found confusing to navigate [5].
The brand's origin story centres on the island of Zanzibar, where Kesi's father runs a watermelon farm and where Kesi travels each summer to visit him. According to the company, a conversation there about how small watermelon seeds grow into large fruit led him to investigate the seed's benefits for skin, and watermelon seed oil became the range's hero ingredient. That same farm supplies the brand's visual language: Zensi describes its colourful, "vibrant" identity as a deliberate break from the dark, neutral tones common in men's grooming.
Philosophy & positioning
Zensi's stated mission is to simplify people's relationship with skincare by offering a deliberately narrow range of products. The company sums up its approach in the tagline "Zensi er hudpleje – helt enkelt" ("Zensi is skincare — simply") [2]. Supporting material extends the idea to a five-minute routine "so easy you can do it on autopilot," and the brand's voice mixes casual Danish with English slang aimed at a younger audience.
The retailer Gosh describes the target customer as men who find skincare overwhelming, addressed through simplified routines and modern design [6]. Product names draw on Kesi's music, a tie-in the same source notes is meant to build recognition among his fans.
Products & innovation
Zensi's range spans three areas: skincare, hair styling and fragrance. Skincare includes a foam cleanser (FOMO), a face serum (Ekstra), a day cream with SPF 15 (Følelsen), an eye cream and a spot stick; hair styling covers wax, gel and powder; and the fragrance line includes an eau de parfum (888) alongside deodorants. The connecting ingredient across the collection is watermelon seed oil, which the company describes as a naturally moisturising dry oil rich in antioxidants.
On product claims, sources diverge. The 2022 launch coverage in Euroman described the products as "organic," while noting they were deliberately not Svanemærket (the Nordic eco-label), as the brand prioritised fragrance over certification [5]. The brand's own site makes no organic claim, and the retailer Gosh instead lists products with "Vegansk" (vegan) and "Parfumefri" (fragrance-free) designations across the collection [6]. The "organic" description is best read as launch-era editorial paraphrase rather than a verified certification.
Recognition & press
The brand's public launch was covered by the Danish men's magazine Euroman in October 2022, in a feature on Kesi introducing the line, its Zanzibar watermelon origin and an initial range of five products [5]. Coverage has centred on Kesi himself, and the label sits within the wider trend of celebrity-founded beauty brands and a growing men's-grooming market.
Current status
Zensi is active. Its full range is sold through its own webshop and stocked by several Danish retailers, including Gosh, Salling and Made4men [7]. There is no evidence of activity beyond Denmark, and the brand's scope is assessed as single-country.
