Overview
Chaewun (Korean: 채운) is a South Korean skincare brand built around one product idea: a facial mist with a thick, pudding-like texture, which the company presents as an ampoule you spray on rather than pat in. It is run by Twelve Global Inc., a company whose listed office is in Gasan-dong, in Seoul's Geumcheon district [2]. The range is compact. On its Korean store it consists of four versions of the Pudding Mist Ampoule and a sheet mask, and the brand sells mainly direct to consumers, through its own online shop and an official storefront on the Japanese marketplace Qoo10.
Chaewun is a young brand and is currently active. Neither a founding year nor a founder has been publicly documented, but the earliest dated posts on its website are from September 2025, and in April 2026 the men's magazine Esquire Korea picked one of its mists for a grooming feature [7].
Origin and founders
The brand's name is its clearest statement of intent. According to the company, Chaewun comes from the Korean verb chaeuda (채우다), "to fill", and is meant to capture a brand identity of carefully filling the skin with the ingredients it needs [2]. Its about page takes the idea a step further. The word chaewun, it explains, literally means filling something in order to complete it. The company ties this to two things: adding what the skin is missing, and offering what it calls a small, everyday moment of healing that brings comfort after a tiring day.
Little else is on public record about how the brand began. The about page and the store's legal footer name Twelve Global Inc. (주식회사 트웰브글로벌) as the business behind the shop and list 이예진 as its chief executive. She is named in that role only, not as the brand's founder. The company's mail-order business registration number carries the year 2025, but no source states when the brand itself was created, so its founding date remains unknown.
Chaewun's own site does not describe it in national terms, yet everything about it points to Seoul: the office address, the Korean-language store, and the Korean holidays that structure its customer notices. On its Japanese marketplace shop, the products are labelled as Korean cosmetics (韓国コスメ) [8].
History and milestones
The brand's public history is short and can be followed mostly through its own website. The oldest dated entry is an FAQ post from 3 September 2025, answering a customer question about the mist not spraying properly [4]. A few weeks later, on 29 September 2025, the brand posted its first shipping notice ahead of the Chuseok harvest holiday. Similar notices followed for the Lunar New Year in January 2026 and for Chuseok again in September 2026 [3].
Press coverage followed in spring 2026. On 15 April that year, Esquire Korea included the Cica Cabbage Pudding Mist Ampoule in a round-up of light, low-effort skincare for men [7]. By November 2026, the official Qoo10 Japan shop, trading as "チェウン(Chaewun)公式", listed 12 items and showed just over 30,000 followers [8]. That presence on a large Japanese marketplace, alongside an international shipping option on the brand's own store, gives the young label a reach beyond its home market.
Ownership
Chaewun is operated by Twelve Global Inc., which appears as the company of record on both the Korean and the English versions of the online store, together with its business registration number and Seoul address [6]. No wider corporate group, outside investment or acquisition involving the brand has been publicly reported, and no sister brands are known.
Philosophy and positioning
Chaewun frames its offer around moisture and convenience. The homepage invites people with dry, rough skin to stop simply spraying and to "Chaewun" their skin instead. It describes the products as bouncy, pudding-textured jelly mists that, in the company's words, fill the skin with moisture from deep inside and build a moisture barrier that does not break down [1]. The site's title sums up the range in a handful of phrases: pudding mist, ampoule mist, collagen mist, and "the easy ampoule you spray on" (뿌리는 간편 앰플).
Much of the store's messaging is tied to the change of seasons. Banners pitch the mists as skincare for that transitional period and promise, in the brand's phrasing, skin that stays springy and moist like pudding even in dry winds, with a single spray said to change how the skin feels. The tagline appears in two forms. In English it reads "just right for your skin, Chaewun". The Korean version, 피부에 딱 좋은 채움, plays on the brand name and translates roughly as "a filling that is just right for the skin". The shop section continues the theme, calling the product line "Chaewun's recipe" for filling the skin.
The positioning is narrow and consistent. Rather than offering a full routine of cleansers, creams and serums, Chaewun concentrates on one format and varies the active ingredient inside it.
Products and innovation
The core of the range is the Pudding Mist Ampoule, sold in 100 g bottles in four versions, each named after its headline ingredients [5]. The company sums up each one with short tags on its store:
- Hyaluron Pudding Mist Ampoule – deep hydration, care for sensitive skin and a stronger skin barrier. - Vitamin Pudding Mist Ampoule – a brighter, more lively look, moisture and firmness, and smoother skin texture. - Cica Cabbage Pudding Mist Ampoule – soothing, tightening pores and refining texture, and hydration. - Collagen PDRN Pudding Mist Ampoule – firmness and fewer visible wrinkles, moisture and nourishment, and support for the skin's structure.
The mists are sold singly and in sets of two, three or all four variants. The only other item in the Korean store's best-seller list is a sheet mask, the Pudding Facial Mask – C.N.B Complex, sold in packs of five. The homepage presents it as special care for "an important tomorrow", setting it apart from the everyday mists.
The Japanese shop carries a slightly wider selection. Besides the four mists and multi-packs, it offers a Collagen PDRN Plumping Lip Oil (3.5 g), sold both on its own and in gift sets, as well as a pink terry-cloth pouch [8]. Its listings describe the mists by benefits such as moisturising, soothing, pore care and a glowing finish, with the Collagen PDRN version described as giving the skin firmness. As of November 2026, the Collagen PDRN mist was the most reviewed item in that shop, with 331 reviews, followed by the Cica Cabbage mist with 161.
Recognition
Chaewun's one documented press appearance is the April 2026 Esquire Korea grooming feature, written by 박예림. The article set out easy summer skincare for men and opened its mist section by calling mists the most intuitive kind of skincare, finished simply by spraying. The Cica Cabbage Pudding Mist Ampoule was the first product listed there, alongside spray serums and ampoule mists from brands including d'Alba, Anua and Abib. The magazine described it as a pudding texture that clings firmly to the skin, with cabbage extract that tightens pores and leaves the skin's surface smoother [7]. No awards have been reported.
Current status
Chaewun is active. Its most recent visible activity is a notice dated 16 September 2026 about shipping over the Chuseok holiday, posted on the brand's own notice board [3]. The Korean store offers both Korean and English, member discounts and a selector for shipping to destinations worldwide [1]. The official Qoo10 Japan shop was also trading in 2026, with a copyright line for that year and a following of more than 30,000. Customer service runs through the online store, email and a KakaoTalk channel, and the brand keeps an Instagram account under the name chaewun.official.
