Electric Ink is a Brazilian manufacturer of tattoo and micropigmentation equipment, inks and cosmetics, based in Uberaba in the state of Minas Gerais [2]. Several of the best-selling inks are labelled as compliant with REACH and AEMPS, the European chemicals regulation and Spain's medicines and health-products agency [1]. The company has also published an official statement addressing the European Commission's regulation 2020/2081, which restricted certain substances in tattoo and permanent make-up inks [3] — a sign that it trades under the current EU rules for these products.
