Summary

Overview

FLORAMARA is an Italian niche perfume project with a small catalogue of three fragrances: Erotico 70, Nitroflora and Sete. Its website is published mainly in Italian, with English versions of most pages, and carries an Italian VAT registration in its footer [1]. The company describes FLORAMARA as a project devoted to "real and surreal odours", and it treats each bottle as a design object as much as a container [4].

The brand is active. It does not sell from its own website. Instead it works through a network of independent perfumeries, mostly in Italy but also elsewhere in Europe, in Saudi Arabia and in the United States [5].

Philosophy & positioning

The brand's own explanation of itself sits on a single page titled "Propaganda", a word choice that sets the tone for the whole project. In it, FLORAMARA says its aim is the creation and reproduction of real and surreal smells, with the intent to "subvert, innovate and stimulate a new perceptual dimension" and to call up images of worlds that are unexplored or perhaps forgotten [4].

Two practical claims follow. According to the company, every perfume is made from selected, high-quality raw materials, as the result of study and an ongoing process of research. It also says each bottle is conceived as "an authentic design object", with the identity of each fragrance expressed through the lines of its cap and the attention paid to every detail. The manifesto closes by asking that the work be contemplated "in its own essence, silent and incommunicable" [4].

That reserve carries through to the rest of the brand's presentation. The website names no founders, gives no founding date and states no home city. Its main page, called "Vetrina" (shop window) in Italian and "Showcase" in English, lists the three fragrances alongside three further, unnamed slots marked only with question marks. The brand's descriptions of its perfumes are short, poetic texts rather than lists of notes or ingredients.

Products

Each of the three fragrances is built around a mood or idea rather than a raw material.

Erotico 70 looks back at the 1970s. The brand describes it as "a decade of freedom, creativity and transgression", a time of high hopes, good music and free love, set in exclusive nightclubs among dancers, sweat and stubbed-out cigarettes. It calls the scent a nostalgic look at a beauty that has since passed [6]. The decant retailer Scent Split lists Erotico 70 as an extrait de parfum by perfumer Andrea Namoini, with notes of smoke, tobacco, musk, rose, boozy notes and amber, and presents it as a floral fragrance for women and men [11].

Nitroflora is framed around chance. According to FLORAMARA, the perfume is "the result of the conflict between instinct and reasoning", representing the charm of randomness and a sense of helplessness before events that cannot be predicted. The brand adds that mistakes are treated not as failures but as a stimulus and part of the creative process [7]. Scent Split credits Nitroflora to Giuliana Acquaro and Andrea Namoini, and describes it as a floral, woody, musky extrait with floral notes, cumin, heliotrope, musk and powdery notes [12].

Sete is the most abstract of the three. The brand opens its description in a place "where even light struggles to penetrate" and all elements coexist in delicate harmony. FLORAMARA presents the perfume as a reflection on natural processes that are invisible but essential to existence, and on the unexplained attraction towards someone or something. Its stated aim is to capture that fragile balance "with clarity and absolute precision" [9].

Across its FLORAMARA collection, Scent Split classifies the line as unisex and as extrait de parfum, a concentrated form of perfume. The notes it lists for the collection as a whole include ambergris, juniper, pine, sandalwood, sea salt, tobacco and ylang-ylang alongside rose and musk [10]. The brand itself does not publish ingredient lists or note pyramids on its own pages.

Distribution

FLORAMARA has no web shop on its own site. The contacts page instead offers a dedicated address for shops that want to become retailers, and lists the perfumeries that already carry the line.

That list leans heavily towards Italy, where it names stockists from Bari and Altamura in the south to Brescia, Verona, Modena and several towns in Piedmont and Lombardy in the north. Outside Italy, it lists independent perfumeries in Germany, Denmark, Poland, Slovenia and Spain, a retailer in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and a shop in Houston, Texas, operated by Scent Split [5]. Several of the named shops describe themselves as niche or artistic perfumeries, which places the brand within the independent fragrance trade rather than department-store distribution.

Current status

FLORAMARA is active. As of October 2026 its website was live, with the three fragrance pages updated with short videos in March 2026 and the stockist list revised in early October 2026 [5]. The brand also maintains Instagram and Facebook accounts. Three of the six places on its showcase page were still marked with question marks, with no announced names or dates.
