Overview
Majouri is a French niche perfume house founded in Paris in 2019 by Hadi Masmoum [1]. Although its imagery and naming draw heavily on Middle Eastern tradition, the company is French: its fragrances are blended in Grasse and, in the brand's words, "made in France from blend to bottle." Majouri builds its identity around the idea of "True Encounters," presenting scent as a meeting point between Western perfumery and Oriental warmth.
The house remains active. It publishes regularly, exhibits at niche-perfume trade fairs, and through 2025 and 2026 has continued to add new fragrances and new export markets [8].
Origin and founder
Majouri was created by Hadi Masmoum, who was born in Syria and, according to the company, grew up in a family of entrepreneurs with a passion for fragrance [7]. His early exposure came partly through Middle Eastern and North African souks, where he encountered spices, rare essences, Damask rose and oud wood. Masmoum later moved to France to study perfumery in Grasse, the town long associated with French fragrance craft, before establishing Majouri in Paris as a niche house.
The brand name carries that dual heritage. The company explains that "Majouri" joins two Arabic words — ma ("water") and jouri ("Damask rose") — a combination it glosses as something close to dew on rose petals [7][10].
Philosophy and positioning
Majouri describes itself as "an olfactory encounter where passion meets vision, and where the excellence of French perfumery is infused with Oriental elegance" [1]. The company frames perfume less as a product than as a vehicle for memory, connection and emotion, and positions the label as a kind of mediator between Western and Middle Eastern fragrance worlds [10]. Its fragrances are organised into themed collections — among them Genesis, described by retailers as a tribute to the brand's Middle Eastern origins; Quest, each composition built around a single ingredient of French or Oriental perfumery; and Jour, a series of free-form compositions by guest perfumers.
The bottles themselves echo this positioning. According to the brand, they are made by French designers and finished with a golden cap and textured, arabesque-patterned glass intended as a nod to Middle Eastern heritage.
Products
Majouri produces only fragrance. Its catalogue spans several lines, including the Portraits collection, whose entries — such as the woody-aromatic "The One and Only" and the floral-fruity "Crazy in Love" — are sold as 75 ml eau de parfum. Recurring materials across the range include Damask rose, oud, vanilla, sesame and musk.
The earliest releases date to the brand's founding: "Signature," a men's fragrance, appeared in 2019 [12], with the "Jour 21" composition following in 2023 [13]. In 2025 the house introduced Blanc Sesame, which it characterises as "a cocoon of softness" built on golden sesame, white musk, mandarin, white flowers, tonka bean and coffee accords [8].
The company markets all of its fragrances as vegan and made in France [5], and emphasises an eco-responsible approach: bottles are designed to be refilled, with refills sold separately for its best-selling scents.
History and milestones
After its 2019 debut, Majouri expanded its catalogue and distribution over the following years. The brand reports that 2025 was a year of growth: it launched Blanc Sesame, entered Hungary and Kenya through local retailers, added boutique partners in Paris and Pau, and opened a TikTok account [8]. It also exhibited at niche-perfume trade events, including Esxence in Milan, and held its first masterclass in Utrecht. The company has said it plans to enter further markets — among them Mexico, Romania and Bangladesh — in 2026.
Recognition and press
Coverage of Majouri has come chiefly from fragrance media. The specialist site Fragrantica introduced the brand in a 2019 editorial titled "New Perfume Brand Majouri — From Syria To Paris" [10]. In late 2025, L'Officiel Monaco featured the Blanc Sesame fragrance, which the brand notes was a repeat appearance in the magazine [6].
Distribution
Majouri sells directly through its own website and also via third-party stockists; its site carries a "Where to Buy" page with country- and city-level selectors, and the brand is listed by niche retailers such as Jovoy Paris [9]. No public street address is given for the company, which states only that its perfumes are "crafted in Paris."
Current status
As of early 2026, Majouri is active and expanding. Its journal continued publishing into February 2026, and the brand maintains an Instagram and TikTok presence under the handle @majouri_fragrances [6]. With recent market entries and further openings announced, it presents itself as a growing independent house rather than a static or dormant one.
