Summary

Overview

Sensatio Paris is a French niche fragrance house based in Paris, founded in 2024 by brothers David and Sacha Perrin [5][9]. The company builds its identity around a single idea: bringing the language of haute cuisine into perfumery. Its name comes from the Latin word for sensation, and its output so far is a small line of unisex extraits de parfum sold mainly direct to customers through its own website.

The brand is active. Its site carries a 2026 copyright and lists recent additions such as Oud Fig and Sandalwood Butter alongside the original collection.

Origin and founders

The house grew out of the pairing of two brothers with different backgrounds. David Perrin came from niche perfumery, where he had previously run a fragrance label called Nectar Olfactif, focused on honey-themed scents [5]. Sacha Perrin trained as a chef in luxury-hotel kitchens and, according to the company, works at the Georges V Four Seasons in Paris. That split between the kitchen and the perfumer's bench is the founding premise the brand returns to repeatedly, describing itself as the meeting of "two enthusiasts": one immersed in perfumery, the other in cuisine.

The company traces the name to Latin, saying it "evokes the notion of sensation." The logo, a fork holding a rose, is meant to signal the same marriage of taste and scent.

Philosophy and positioning

Sensatio Paris presents itself as a small, quality-led operation rather than a mass-market label, offering what it calls "distinctive olfactory creations" through a curated online shop. The company frames its fragrances as unisex compositions that "unfold like a journey, with defined opening, deliberate heart, and long finish," and stresses artisanal craft and what it terms "noble materials." It positions itself in the luxury tier, describing its work through the language of elegance and craft rather than trend.

The culinary framing runs through the product storytelling. The house says its scents are "inspired by the culinary art of chef Sacha," aimed at people who want rare and sensory perfumes rather than conventional releases.

Products and creation

The initial 2024 collection consisted of four extraits de parfum: Golden Pistachio, Black Sesame, Hypnotic Flower and Cumbawa Wood [9]. Later releases, including Oud Fig and Sandalwood Butter, extended the range. The compositions lean gourmand and lean heavily on food-derived ideas; Golden Pistachio, for instance, is described by the company as an interpretation of pistachio praline, with notes running from bergamot and almond through pistachio to tonka bean and vanilla.

Rather than operate an in-house lab, the brand says it develops its perfumes in partnership with the fragrance and ingredient companies Robertet and CPL Aromas. The perfumers credited across its releases include Serge De Oliveira, Manon Coen, Clément Marx and Elise Pierre; the retailer Pafory, describing the initial launch, credits De Oliveira and Coen specifically [9]. Manon Coen, working with Robertet, is named as the perfumer behind Golden Pistachio [5].

Recognition

As a 2024 launch, the brand's public footprint is still small and concentrated in niche-fragrance media. The German fragrance retailer and editorial outlet scent amor featured Golden Pistachio in 2025 coverage of a broader pistachio-fragrance trend, grouping Sensatio Paris with names such as Jousset Parfums and DS & Durga and summarising its style as "French technique, Middle Eastern soul" [7]. The German blog alzd.de published a dedicated brand profile in February 2025 [5].

Distribution

Sensatio Paris sells primarily direct to consumers through its own e-commerce site, which it says ships internationally, and describes itself as focused on "quality and originality rather than mass production." Its fragrances also appear through several European niche retailers, including scent amor, 50-ml and Pafory.
