Intragen sits within Revlon Professional, the salon-focused business associated with the Colomer Group. The Colomer Group was founded in 1933 and based in Barcelona; it grew out of Revlon's former professional division, which Revlon sold to private-equity firm CVC Capital Partners in 2000 [6]. In October 2013 Revlon reabsorbed the business, paying about 660 million US dollars to reacquire the Colomer Group and its salon brands [7].
